Deborah, do you have Roy Barraclough's? If not, maybe you could wait till the end of the year then write via the Mayflower Theatre where he'll be doing the Christmas play (not panto but a musical - more details in the Where are they now board). I wrote to Louise Jameson the 2nd time via a theatre and got a lovely reply. Course, by the time I'd GOT the reply, I'd met her properly and asked everything I'd put in my letter. LOL! I do like to know where these people are though. Makes it so much easier to write somewhere direct at times. I must make an effort. Maybe I'll go and see this musical. I wish I'd got offmy backside last year when Geoffrey Hughes was here in panto. Oh well.

No I don't have Roy Barracloughs. I have emailed his agent a few times, so I was thinking of writing to him through his agent. That would be so great if you went to see the musical. Patsy, you know the agents website you gave me, I was just wondering if they keep it up to date? I figure that is the best way for me to find ex-Corrie stars.

Any replies yet Jez? On Friday I mailed 7 more letters to Danny, Frankie, Jamie, Warren, Sophie, Penny and my favourite Ashley. (he will be thinking I am a young obsessed fan! LOL) When I bought my stamps, the man said to me "you have a lot of friends overseas, don't you." I was dying to say yes, there is Ken, Audrey, Mike and little Chesney. LOL Hi Deborah - I got replies from Wendi Peters and Betty Driver - both about a week after I sent them which was very good. Both were also personalised "To Jeremy" etc. Still waiting for replies from Bev Callard, Shobna Gulati and Bradley Walsh - and Barbara of course!

Nothing lately Patsy. Out of the 10 I wrote to in April, I heard back from 7 right away. They were all the ones I wrote to at Granada. I sent 3 letters to agents and haven't heard anything back yet, still hoping to though. Did you ever write to Neville Buswell? I never heard from Bev Callard either and I wrote to her via an agent. Well done on all your replies Deborah.

Yes, Deborah, they do keep it up-to-date. Spotlight is a casting directory and usually available in libraries (except ours because they're meanies) and a new edition is out every year as far as I know. I remember trying to find William Russell's on there a few years ago. I tried everything, even his other acting name of Russell Enoch and nothing. So I was really surprised to see a result last year with a different agent to the one I'd got from a Dr Who fan club magazine. So I emailed them to make sure it wasn't a different William Russell since my original letter years ago via the BBC came back with "Wrong William Russell" on it.
Yeah you could try Roy via the agent. If you get nothing back, there's always the Mayflower as 2nd choice. ;D Louise was at the Nuffield in Southampton for 1 night only doing a Christmas reading with carols and stuff. But it's too difficult for me to get to without a car so I wrote via there.

Thanks for all your help Patsy. Jez-that is great you got autographs from Betty Driver and Wendi Peters. I wrote to Bev Callard at Granada and got a reply back quite fast. I sent a letter to Bradley Walsh last Friday, we'll have to see who gets a reply back first. If either of us hears back from Barbara, I think we will all be very shocked.

I think the world will be shocked, Deborah! LOL! In this heat, can our hearts take it? That's all very confusing about seding stuff via agents or Granada. You'd think they'd reply either way. Patsy

LOL! I know. She was nice then. Appreciated fans. Gave interviews. Replied to ALL letters, especially the hundreds and hundreds she said she got during the Alan Bradley storyline and by hand. Didn't dump it on a secretary to do like Julie Goodyear and Sally Whittaker (at that time, don't know about now) did. If she thinks I'm obsessed with her because I've tried a few times in the past 6 years then she has a much higher opinion of herself than I do. She's gone way down in my estimation as a person since I've got to know other people she hasn't had the decency to reply to who are younger than me. In my top 5 list of favourite actresses, she alternates between 4th and 5th depending on if I'm in a Garbo mood or not. At the moment, with the centenary of her birth in September and a US DVD box coming out, I am. So Barbara's 5th again. ;D I can only say she's my favourite LIVING actress. Though I liked the other 4 when they were still alive (Yootha Joyce, Bette Davis, Lucille Ball and Garbo) and before Barbara and they also had more talent. Though Barbara does sing better than Bette and Lucy ever did. Patsy

Well, Pat was a phase for a while in the 80s like a few others (Ann Mitchell, Sue Johnston) but I went off her and Barbara took her place. Bit like when I was a Duran Duran fan until Live Aid then becoming a Queen fan instead! I still like Pat but not as much as I did during my phase. I've never been a fan of Sue Nicholls per se. I just like her. I grew up with Sue in Corrie and Rentaghost (mainly Rentaghost). Yootha has been the longest in 1979 and she sadly passed away the following year. I cried a lot. Bette in 1982, Lucy in 1983, Garbo '84 and Barbara '88.

Yes, you're too young while I'm an old bag! LOL! It was better in those days. You could miss an ep and not miss anything which is the only thing they've stuck to. My dad used to miss loads due to work before we got a video in 1982. And I missed some to watch other things like Blakes 7. Patsy

Yeah my dad used to work shifts so missed loads of tv when he was afternoons or nights (as he used to have sleep a few hours before going in). My mum used to miss loads as well when us kids were young as Corrie always coincided with bedtime until about 1986/7. My mum didnt mind as long as she could watch Dallas!

Oh well, Dallas, before they went and brought back Bobby, was must-see TV. After that it was ridiculous because they lost all credibility, especially since in Knots Landing they still had Bobby as dead!
