Yes. She decided she didn't want her own ruining or something so they got that horrible thing out and plonked it on her head.

I saw a picture of her in a magazine I got on the weekend and she had very short red spikey hair.(it was a sample of the new On the Air magazine coming out in June) I had to look twice to see if it was her.

LOL! Maybe it's that one dyed. Well, they are costcutting. Reusing costumes, recycling scripts, you know the sort of thing.

Emily also wears a wig. Her hair is short and straight in real life.

Thanks Patsy. I never realized that Emily wore a wig! It just seems so natural looking I guess! I was watching a special the other day and they showed Bet getting ready. They had a fake hair piece for the bun on her head.

Ah yes. Bet wore one in the 80 and early 90s when she was in Dynasty-mode with the shoulder pads. I'd forgotten that. I noticed when they brought Bet back originally she had a wig but then for the Blackpool eps she didn't.

Bet looks terrible in that wig. IMO she would look better with her natural hair.

Bet looks terrible full stop. Even worse that Reet which is some accomplishment. Patsy

Janice wears a wig in character as the actress's hair is well cut and highlighted/coloured which the character shouldn't be able to afford, so isn't in keeping with her character. Additionally the wig was (apparently) introduced when she was having sparring rows with Cilla and the producers wanted Janice to look a bit more cheap.

Sometimes you get a glimpse of her OTT salon finger nails as well - a treat that would cost 2 weeks wages from Underworld. Don't Corrie bosses think we notice stuff like that?

Well, she certainly looks cheap in that wig. Maybe she couldn't afford a better one after her manicures. Janice has changed her hair colour more than Reet's changed her reds. I'm surprised she can afford anything considering she spends most of her money on booze or cigarettes. Patsy

Julie Hesmondalgh has punky, funky hair under that that Terry Wogan creation. You'd think as a tranny they would have gone for something a bit longer and more feminine for Hayley even though the character is practical and unassuming.

I'm wondering if Hayleys hair is meant to be a wig..or is it supposed to be her real hair....

I think it's supposed to be her real hair, so they have created a woman who used to be a man, but still doesn't mind looking manly... (or like a pensioner). There is no female vanity about Hayley at all, don't think she has ever shopped for shoes or visited Audrey's salon once.

If Hayley,if she had stayed harold, had started to go bald..would Hayley as Hayley go bald too..or will the hormone treatment have sorted that out..??....I don't mean to offend transexuals..I'm just curious...you would think as a gay man I would know
