Yep - we want Mave or Hilda back! (or Jenny but I know you disapprove of that suggestion!)
LOL!

You know me too well and for reasons proved with Orchid. Reet should have her own storyline and one that doesn't involve returning characters getting her in a pickle.
I tried checking the ninemsn listings but with Juanita's computer they pop ups pop up them pop off again but I think they've skipped the Sunday ep (Friday's was our Friday) and tomorrow is the first Monday doube which had Reet in! Got the vid set for the next 3 days just in case. Don't want to miss the redheaded one. LOL!

Today's ep here had the return of Blanche and the drag queen. So Reet will be Tuesday! We'll be in Kalgoorlie then, returning that day or Wednesday so I'll have to ask Juanita to tape it. She did say it had to be taped so I can see if they cut out any of her 56 words. LOL! I thought it was yesterday and I missed her. Glad I didn't. This could be very interesting, especially as she's in the first scene. Patsy What's all this about a drag queen?

We saw Reet driving her car last night, and Barbara got to go out on location!

Well she was in it yesterday here! I checked the tape as soon as Juanita's video went off for today's. It's odd here. No credits yesterday and credits at the end of today's so we know it's the Monday double split but they don't. All 1 scene and 56 words so they didn't cut any out - woo-hoo! I'll see if I can keep the tape as a souvenir. LOL! Up in Kalgoorlie, the station that transmits Channel 9, WIN Television, doesn't show Corrie. I put the telly on at 4.30pm on Monday and got Bert's Family Feud instead which was so diabolical. One of the questions was name a sport you can play with only 1 hand and one of the answers of the dozy 100 people surveyed was golf! Anyway maybe they find Barbara too scary to show in the Goldfields. LOL!

What scene was that she was in?
I would have thought Granada would supply some credits specially made for broadcast of Corrie for other countries especially for the Monday double episode.

Notice Emily did not try to join in that conversation : ' Men never noticed me much, except one, and he was murdered....' What a bitch of Reet to rub it in!

Reet is too busy thinking of her next rich hubby to care about bitchy comments to Emily. Next rich husband ? Come off it, Reet is reputedly loaded. Sally Webster went through a phase of being "helped out" financially by Reet, who could apparently do so without even breaking sweat - although eventually her moralistic disapproval of Sal's various shenanigans put a stop to that. Cilla Battersby correctly targeted her for "compo", and even Norris is alive to the business potential of the Kabin, of which he has bought a share and covets the flat. Reet is supposedly now feeling old and vulnerable, and has moved in temporarily with Emily. But who'd bet against hot lesbo pensioner action at Emily's place ?

Oh dear. I have that hideous phone to come! Thanks for the warning. I don't know. Phone that matches her wig as well as Pat and Patrick in EE. I'll need something strong to stop me being sick! Jezziekins, the scene where she talks to Steve as Karen as they're smuggling Jim up to Blackpool. I'd have thought that too. I got a shock yesterday when I saw Barbara's name in the credits so ran it back, thinking it was yesterday and they'd mucked things up again. But no. Started with Jim and Bet. So I ran it back and there she was in Tuesday's. Billy, Reet needs all the cash she can get her mummified mitts on. After all, she's lived 6 million years so has accumulated quite a lot. If Emily has enough for her needs then it's such a powerful aphrodisiac to her, you never know about that hot lesbian action! Patsy

Hillman never managed to get his hands on Emily's money/house after all, since she survived so she must be quite well off. No wonder Norris came round on the scrounge for teabags.

No it wasn't. 2 reasons. 1) Queen Mary and Queen Mary 2 were meeting at what was 4am our time in Long Beach today and I have a friend on the QM2 so hoped to get some webcam grabs. Bloody webcam developed a technical fault! 2) QE2 arrived here today, the reason for my extra weeks just so I could see her in other waters waving Southampton on her big, fat arse. Now because they're all morons at Fremantle Ports, we should have known the 6.30am arrival was bollocks after last week's Pacific Sky fiasco. 8am it was originally and 8am it was because the bastards kept her out there waiting! Grrrr! No breakfast and it was bloody freezing! Course it had warmed up by the time she started coming round the North Mole (that's a viewing area past the harbour entrance) around 7.15am. Going later for the 6pm sailing but knowing Lizzie, she'll be late! I love my shippies. Can't you tell from my banner? LOL!
I answered that about the scene in an earlier post. I'm going to have a sleep now. LOL!

Watched 3. 23rd, 30th and 1st. Dialogue diabolical. Barbara's performance diabolical. She looks bored and there was too many pauses in the wrong places. I couldn't take any more after the 1st for today.

Not much on the 23rd. Ed said to Reet, Eileen, Norris and Emily he'd been in prison but all that dialogue was dire, not just Barbara's. In the scene after Ed and Emily turned up and Reet says about him killing his mother, I can't work out of she's meant to be saying it as comedy or sarcasm. Now that's not a good performance if you can't work out the line delivery. She's been around KF too much and picking up bad habits. LOL!
30th was when they had her say to Fred about how it's her that's vulnerable on three sides. Talk about making it obvious! Then Fred told her about Stacy in hospital. 1st was her going to visit then Fred took Stacy to hers. I must make a note of all those pauses when I bother doing the rest. Oh yeah and also in the 1st was Norris quizzing her and she rambled on about three for two's and having too much shampoo. Ludicrous dialogue and she wasn't convincing trying to keep the subject off what she'd done with Fred earlier that day. And when she was having a pop at Stacy she kept pausing too much. It didn't do much for my trying to get through them. If she was that bad in the first 3, what the hell was she like with her line delivery in the rest?

Seen more now and I'm beginning to hope my dream of her and her latest husband driving off a cliff and dying come true and fast! Here's my thoughts:
3rd February - Oh dear. Theo was right when he sent me a text saying Barbara was on auto pilot. She was terrible! Less pauses than the previous 3 eps but it was like she switched off. Anyone notice her fluff when she said to Stacy, "But yer'll be rifering through my jewellery box the minute my back's turned."? Writer error. She has not been broken into 5 times. That later was the 5th and the first in the flat. The rest were in the shop there and Rosamund Street as we'd discussed before.
5th February - Ropey isn't the word for the Reet/Stacy stuff. Barbara sleepwalked her way through the bloody lot! The only real acting was the tears in her eyes when she said, "Why can't they just take what they've come for and go?" Perhaps she thought if she did proper acting her own bad memories would come back. I was so surprised even her rection to the front door and wrecked flat was poor. Where was the shock? I am so bored with this. It's awful so far and this is one reason they should give her a proper storyline without bringing back past characters to justify it.
6th February (Part 1) - I have to disagree about Barbara. The first scene with her and the policewoman was excellent and I was nearly in tears myself. That clearly was memories. As for the rest of her scenes in this episode it was like Reet was a completely different person. Very poor acting.
6th February (Part 2) - Well I have to agree about her performance but only in that scene with Emily. You got the sense that Reet really was frightened. However, the one at the start with Fred and Stacy was terrible. Even her sarcastic comment of, "I'm full of the joys of spring(!)" was said exactly the same as the rest of her dialogue so it took a while to work out she was even being sarcastic at all. The last one was pretty bad too. Again it was like Reet was a different person. Her acting goes from one extreme to the other and there's just no consistancy in it. I had to give up for the day after that. She was boring the arse off me so I went back to sleep instead! Nice that Alan got a mention by Reet though. I'm amazed considering the writers all have Alzheimer's.

LOL! Yes that was what alerted me to KF's bad acting when I didnt know what she meant with Ray that time she asked him to stay.
Oh dear sounds like you didnt enjoy it then. However I do agree that line "why cant they take what they want then GO" was good

I'm not just slagging her off because she hasn't bothered replying to me. I seriously am bored with this and am watching her objectively because I still am a fan in spite of the fact she doesn't deserve any. I'll probably see a few more tomorrow.
