Betty doesn't look heavily pregnant with a baby elephant. Barbara's face as thinned since Mave went but that could be gravity or another facelift.

She looked so bloated when Mave left. Dreadful close up.

Haven't seen it yet. I'm behind again. But this Doreen is just to give her something to do so another pointless storyline.

What happened to Rita's last 'friend' from her showbiz days..I can't remember her name she was played by Honor Blackman and her and her hubby turned out to be swingers.,
obviously Doreen dosen't remember her
I like Betty..she can come out with some dry one liners

Rula? Well they had that sort of falling out over wife swapping.
If Reet was such good friends with all these people she wouldn't have lost touch with them.
I do too when she's written for properly. Under Kieran she wasn't.

I notice Betty seems to have disappeared again. Looking at IMDB it says her last appearance was mid June. She was mentioned in the spoilers in the tv mags this week as being curious about who Norris was going to propose to yet she wasnt seen.
LOL! Just reading back - i notice I said I wasnt keen on Boreen back in Feb!

LOL! I hadn't seen Boreen then, did I? Or had I and it put me off for months? Betty's probably run off with Boris. Patsy

No idea. I know you were behind for quite a while and did a load of episodes all together.
Funny how we notice Barbara's absence yet Betty has been absent for far longer and only know I realised. Hope she is ok too.

Yeah I caught up in July before I went to Lane's.
Well we're not fans of Betty Driver but are of Barbara knox so would notice these things more. Also Betty has had even less to do than Barbara for years so she isn't really missed. That sounds awful I know. But you know what I mean.

Well I am a fan of Betty Driver as I really like her but like you say when she is hardly there we dont notice her absence so much.

And her storylines for years have been retiring to live with Gordon then changing her mind. Hardly stretching her talent either.

Exactly. Thats why im "sort of" a fan of her's. I really like her and thats why I wrote her profile on the website. She is a great character, but she hasnt really done much, even in the 70s and 80s her storylines were few and far between.

I like Betty (Turpin/Williams) and don't mind Betty Driver but not that much. They were. But she was also more interesting back then.

I think Betty was at her finest during the Annie Walker days. Betty, Annie, Bet and Fred were great. But then the writing was better then and it was character not sensationalism which was more important.

Yeah I agree with that - Betty was great during the Annie Walker era.
