I,m not so sure this story is true Corrie Girl now can do that at times . my hubby and I think he may have had his drink spiked with something  I agree he does have a lot of explaining to do like why didn,t Jimmi allow a ambulance to be called  . I hope his Career can be saved because I do like Amber and Dev  |

Awful story CG, but TBH I've never understood why he's been able to hang on in Corrie as long as he has - he's no great shakes as an actor, and his character has become very stale.

I must agree with blackcatz - the show wouldn't suffer much if he left, unless of course it deprived us of the wonderful Amber.

I think if Dev did have to leave..why not bring Ambers mum and her new hubby back from Finland....they could buy the shop and it would make an interesting storyline regarding mixed faith marraiges

Good idea, Nick. If Dev wwas killed off, his kids would inherit his vast empire - so maybe Amber would inherit the corner shop and the flat, and her mum could run the shop on Amber's behalf until she was legally old enough.

surely in this day and age he would not have let his drink out of his sight, & if i thought my drink had been spiked i definitely would want a ambulance to be on the safe side,

How many people even realise at the time? Look at date-rape drugs. So often by the time they realise they've been raped it's out of their syste so hard to prove.

I`m probably one of the very few who has always liked Dev. But this latest news has really hit me for 6. I`m very disappointed in him. It wouldn`t suroprise me if at this very minute he is at the Granada studios packing his stuff. The NOTW have been known to exagerate, and I hope this is one of the times. Even if it is true that his drink was spiked, the Granada big wigs won`t take kindly to this negative publicity. I`m saddened, I really am |

CORRIE chiefs are sticking by former drug user Jimmi Harkishin after he collapsed at a bash from the effects of ketamine.
Jimmi, 48 — Dev in the ITV1 soap — insists his drink was spiked.
A Corrie source said Jimmi — who was carpeted two years ago for sniffing cocaine — “categorically denied” knowingly taking illegal drugs

I hate these bloody News of the Screws exposes. So a soap actor was sick in a club. So what.
Mind you, since he immediately thought he'd been dosed with ketamine, it does rather suggest that he'd tried it before so knew what it was like.

at least corries bosses belive him because according to the sun today they are sticking by him , I,m pleased about that because it means he is telling the truth and his drink was spiked . |
