[ I`m intrigued about that painting Claire found, and was happy to hear a reference about Irma Ogden. It`s not very often we get to hear about past characters, so it made a refreshing change.
]This painting won't cause as much of a kerfuffle as Ivy Tilsley's diary did!!

What a crap cop Mel Morton is - standing there while Darryl trashes Gail's house, and then tells Theresa to hop it when she complained!! Much as Theresa is detestable - she had every right to complain about the noise. And Rosie was asking for a punch up the bracket.
Steve's indiscretion/Michelle's detective work - dragging it out faaaaar too long. Get it over with.
Why aren't the Peacock's staying with Claire's mum - or why don't the Websters kip at Audrey's with Bill for a few days? No need for them to cram into one house.

It was nice that we got mentions ot Hilda and Irma tonight! Wouldnt Reet have known Irma was Hilda's daughter without having to ask Ken? Not sure if Irma left before or after Reet arrived but have a feeling it was just before. But Reet talked about Irma at Stan and Hilda's Ruby Wedding party (when Lump died) in 1983.
However it was nice they remembered Irma Barlow was married to Ken's brother.

Irma did leave before Rita came on the scene but I'm sure she would know who Irma was..being Kens sister in law and hearing Hilda talk about her..still it was nice to hear them mentioned
Theresa was right..Rosie looked a right tart..infact myself and daryll both said at the same time 'What has she come as'?
spaking of the Mortons..have they forgotten they have a grandad?...he seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth !!

Loved the final scene with Leanne and Michelle - Jane Danson was excellent and did tears.

Was it my imagination of did Ted swig down a left over bottle of wine when he was clearing up after David's party?

lol PQ yes. He remembered what someone said about white wine cleaning red wine stains on Gails carpet. And instead of pouring the wine on the stain, he must`ve been so knackered and fed up he decided to drink it instead. I really like Ted. I wish he had been introduced years ago.

Good for Leanne...Michelle is really getting on my nerves...why doesn't Lloyd just tell her to piss off ?

And isn't it typical, just when the Morton's get anything like a storyline, they are on the way out.
I think Theresa has really activated them.

Yes, ironically Theresa has made the Mortons much more interesting. I actually prefer Theresa to Cilla.

I agree..Theresa is more realistic..Cilla turned into a cartoon character
KEEP THE MORTONS ;D

Too little too late as regards the Mortons - their death knell has been sounded, it's a waste of time making them interesting now. They started off bad - but that was mainly due to that mad ranting sexually frustrated older daughter: the one who nearly shagged Lloyd, but kept having to babysit kebabs instead.
Vernon is a sleazebag - has Liz forgotten what he was like at the start? Leching over Violet and Michelle and making them feel bad. He only decided he was 'madly in love' with Liz when he realised he wouldn't do any better than a granny with her own pub.
Becky looked a little bit like Smurfette behind the Rovers' bar.
Claire has become quite spiteful recently - although I can see why she'd want to put the boot into Snobby Sally. Maybe this herald's Claire's absence, so that Julia Hawarth can go on maternity leave - maybe Claire will leave Ashley temporarily after they fall out over all the Websters nastiness.
What will happen to the sub Post Office if Stony buys the Kabin? Surely Royal Mail must have a say....... ok, so they haven't sold a stamp or cashed a pension for yonks but it still says 'Post Office' in the window.

Can anyone remind me..why did Liz throw Vernon out of the pub that time when she threw his drums through the window?
I don't think even Becky would be so insensitive as to work at the pub...
maybe Ashley and Claire will go to stay at her mums while the house is rewired..there will be problems meaning they have to stay longer and you still see Ashley because of him working at the butchers etc...

I think it was because she found out that Vernon had made a pass at Michelle?
Becky suits being behind the bar I think.

I love Sally, but how I loved seeing Claire getting the better of her tonight. The look on her face was priceless. ;D I really felt bad for Vernon tonight. Liz is such a heartless bitch. I hope he will come back sometime in the future....preferably after Liz has long gone. Two very good episodes tonight. With Peter Whalley in the writing chair how could it not be ;D

We thought that...she can only sell her share..not his...unless with her being the majority shareholder she has the final say on any decisions
