Jamie would but Violet wouldnt. Jamie arrived about June/July 2004 and Violet October 2004. Todd left in Sept 2004.

That's what too many eps does for you. I remember storylines and characters (even short-term ones) from years gone by but from the 90s onwards I've forgotten most of them.

Coronation Street bosses want Bruno Langley to return to the soap on a full-time basis.

Langley, 24, who plays Todd Grimshaw in the Manchester-based soap, has recently returned for 12 episodes to feature in the wedding storyline concerning his onscreen brother Jason (Ryan Thomas) and Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien).

He first appeared in the programme in 2000 and departed four years later. He has starred in Doctor Who and Dalziel And Pascoe since leaving the show.

Corrie's executive producer Kieran Roberts told The Sun: "We’ve been very impressed with Bruno's performances and the writers will be coming up with ideas to bring Todd back.

"He’s a terrific actor and it would be great for the Grimshaws to have him back for good. There’s a lot of scope for storylines for Todd because of his history with Jason, Eileen and Sarah."

Ryan Thomas backs the move to get Langley to return to the cobbles.

He commented: "I talked to Bruno about this while we were making the documentary Family Album: The Grimshaws and it makes sense for him to return. He's interested in the idea.

"Jason and Todd have a great bond as brothers and after all family is what Corrie is all about. Jason has got past all the gay thing now - he’s not scared of it anymore - and he wants to see more of his brother."

At first I was elated. Then realised we will probably get more AC storylines over it

I just thought of something. That rant that AC gave at the soap awards ceremony might`ve meant that AC knew that the Corrie producers had already decided they wanted Bruno to come back. If was effing Todd this, effing Todd that.
I really wouldn`t be surprised if AC had known about this beforehand and was furious - hense the drink fueled rant.

Could Sean Handle not being "The only gay in the village" though? Makes me wonder though when Bruno wasn't apparently happy with the change in his character, let's face it - all this signs from when he first arrived was bull, it's just something convenient the writes or rather Darran thought off much much later.

Even if he did stay could they write for him well? Mind you we've already got the chliché gay stereotype like most gay characters in a soap, so maybe it won't be a problem.
