It's always the Monday doubles. Some hitch. In the past few months there's been Sarah & Jason, Liz & Vermin and now Maria & Liam and they ALL went through with it. They seem to have gone from jiltings to this. Thoughts?

I was only just thinking how we seem to be getting a wedding ever couple of months now. It would be nice if they did a wedding without any hitches at all like in the old days where rarely anything went wrong.

Or if they did it was in the first half of the ep and resolved in part 2 rather than dragged out over half an hour and resolved in the next ep like now.

I think they need to take a break from weddings full stop and come up with different ideas.

Babies, triangles, weddings, death. That's all they can do these days.

Cant give Reet a baby, a wedding or kill her off so try and give her a love triangle with Norris and Boreen. LOL!
Is see our friend Paul enjoyed it as much as I did going by his review on Barb's group.

They can't do the first that's for sure. Although she's looked pregnant for the past 10 years. Must be due to drop soon surely. They could marry her. They can do triangles. I prefer the killing off option. ;D Beats me why he still watches as well. Every year when we get together we always end up discussing how crap Corrie is at some point over the weekend. Patsy

LOL! Well unless Barbara quits they cant kill her off either.
He still watches as he is a loyal fan. And he gives it quite high scores in his reviews sometimes - often 6+ out of 10.

I was trying to recall the last time anybody in Corrie (or in fact, any soap, I guess) held a wedding that all went off perfectly straight-forwardly, and where the bride & groom just, err, got married, without anybody dropping dead, attacking the bride, beating up the groom, climbing out the bog window or being distracted by a psychotic brother-in law driving his banger into the cut.
And I just couldn't. How strange is that ?

I still like Bet and Alec's when he starts on her at the altar. "You're late" and the classic, "What's this about you and Jack Duckworth?" LOL!

Peter Adamson was drunk in real life when he gave the best man speech at Emily and Ernie Bishops wedding in 1972 I know that much. You could see the look of disgust on Doris Speeds face which she really tried hard to hide. But it was definatly there. I was reading Bill Podmores autobiography a month or two back and I read something in there about Doris Speed complaining to Bill about Peter`s drinking. No actual scenes were mentioned but I bet it was that one at Ernie and Emily`s wedding. I honestly can`t recall any happy weddings the past few years either.

I can only think of Claire and Ashley's.

And even marriages that go ahead ok usually end or have a temporary split within the first 5 years, like Ashley and Claire.
