I am in Canada and a series called Shameless has just started playing here. I am loving it!! It is sooooooo shameless!!! Was just wondering how many seasons it was on in Britain and if it is available in DVD.

Hi Pickles, Shamless has scored two series so far and an xmas sepcial. A third series is on the way! (I just had a huge 1st & 2nd series Shamless weekend this weekend!) Series one is on double disc DVD, waiting very much for series 2 to come out also!! Nice to see another fan. It's a great series, the last decent drama series CH4 did was one called G.B.H. by Alan Bleasdale, and nothing, nothing has got me so excited since and that was at least 13 years ago (Jump in any UK'ers who have a clue what i'm on about ) It's got romace, drama, it's funny, it's sad and hopefully might win an award on the Television BAFTAs here in the UK (shown tonight - no spoilers from Uker's who have seen it.)

Thanks Peter!
I love British shows, be they comedy or drama. There are some American shows I like but my favourites on tv right now are Canadian . . . "DaVinci's Inquest", which I feel is the best drama shown anywhere on tv today; and "This is Wonderland", a quirky show about street lawyers who mostly work out of the central court house. Both wonderful shows.
I would be very interested in purchasing the DVD of Shameless. I wonder if there would be a chance that it might be available in Canada. If not, maybe I will try online somewhere.
Anyway, I am enjoying it immensely and am looking forward to more shows.

Shamless is great. One of the best current dramas. Anne-Marie Duff (Fiona) was not be appearing in season 3 (due to air sometime next year apparently) but she will be playing the title role in the forthcoming drama about Elizabeth I.

It`s a shame Fiona (and I`m guessing Steve too) won`t be in season 3.... they were a great couple. Carl and Debbie are my 2 faves of the kids. I`m surprised Carl hasn`t had an ABSO before now lol. I like Sheila, but she doesn`t half get on my nerves sometimes. Don`t know what she sees in Frank either...a shiftles, scruffy, drunk bone idle swine!!! ;D. It seemed to me that the EE producers were trying to jump on the Shameless bandwagon and try to bring in a carbon copy of Franks character somewhat with Keith Miller...it didn`t work at all.

I have never watched this, all I know is that the young lad in it, is played by Luke Tittensor's ( Daz out of Emmerdale ) identical twin brother

I think they're different in a way though as Frank is more ploitical, or likes to think he is. Keith just like to appear well imformed on being clever to hide his lack of not being able to read and write. Keith does things for his family though, Franks only worried about where the next drink is coming from I will miss Steve and Fiona though, especially after that gut-wrenching leave. Debbie's my favourite tooo, Carl makes me giggle and love, Marty and Kev & Veronica!

Am I the only one..I couldn't bear this..i just felt that it made hooliganism and theft, drug taking etc...almost heroic Fair enough, though i think you're only looking at the surface elements, as that is not all it's about., in fact they're minor elements. It's also about family, relationships, love and much more. Anywyay, i finally got round to getting the second series DVD and have been preoccupied watching them episodes. Love the commentry on episode 4 (the steve leaving episode), shame it's only on that one episode. I can't wait for series 3 either, but at least now i have the second series to enjoy over & over so hopefully the gap won't seem as long this time (As it felt between series one & two). STill can't be long now!... In the mean time i shall revel in the greatness that is series 2.

I have never watched this, all I know is that the young lad in it, is played by Luke Tittensor's ( Daz out of Emmerdale ) identical twin brother according to the IMDB website Luke Tittensor was in the first series of Shameless..but then joined Emmerdale full time and his twin brother Elliott joined Shameless in the second series
