Well HTV havent made many programmes for the network unlike Granada, LWT, Thames etc.

Good. LOL! Only kidding. HTV really can't be blamed for the Poldark disaster. That was the writers although the official fan club don't recognise it.
It's a shame really. ITV have gone to pot since all these takeovers. You had so many cracking programmes in the old days made by the regions.

True. You had TVS, Grampian, Scottish and even Tyne Tees making programmes as well as Central which was a big producer of networked stuff. All went down the pan when Carlton took them over.

I was less than 6 months old when ATV and Southern lost their franchises to Central and TVS. I remember when Thames and TVS lost out to Carlton and Meridian though, the same time as TVam was replaced by GMTV.

Oh yes. That was on the news before 11am and I cheered! Got rid of TVS after all those years. ;D I was pissed off about Thames and TV-AM.

Yeah I agree with you there Pats. I can remember the days when tv programming was good quality. Now its all money grabbing swines picking the viewers pockets everytime they watch.  |

Because it was harder to get into the mainstream ITV unless you were the usual suspects so it had to be good. Although that said, Granada, ATV, Redifusion/ABC/Thames/LWT put out some corkers. Not like now.
