Do that many people really watch Hollyoaks? I'm surprised - I always thought of it very much as an also-ran - must be out of touch! I watched it ocasionally in it's early days, but lost interest after a few attempts. Have never watched it for more than 5 minutes at a time since then. I find it so unrealistic to have an ongoing soap/series almost entirely centred around beautiful-looking youngsters. The whole thing just smacks of Aussie/American-style soaps to me.

Oh right. Thanks, Jezziekins. I was looking via the phone so skimmed.
They must do, blackcatz. As they reckon more youngsters vote than older viewers perhaps they're jaded with the main soaps.

Well Hollyoaks is the only soap that has seen its viewing figures rise in the past few years I think? Doesnt it get something like 3 million on C4 and over a million on first look E4? So when the likes of Emmerdale and Corrie are down to about 6-8 million its not that far behind it really. And considering more youngsters probabaly watch Hollyoaks I expect the percentage of Hollyoaks viewers that vote is quite high.
Nice to see them do well anyway, ive watched Hollyoaks for about 10 years, never been my fave soap in that time but its had its excellent moments.

Anyone watch it? Didnt Rob James Collier look annoyed about winning the sexiest male? Cant say I blame him though, its nothing to do with acting ability. He is a worthy winner of the title sexiest male though of course!

Nope.
Sexiest is always pointless.

Y`know what? That`s 2 Corrie actors now who have won an award even though viewers knew they were leaving. First there was 'Karen McDonald' and now 'Liam Conner' And what has Surane Jones done since leaving Corrie for other projects? Not much! I hope RJC doesn`t suffer the same fate

Suranne has had quite a few parts since leaving Corrie but nothing for a while.
RJC told me he was looking forward to going for auditions again.

She's in something this summer but hasn't become the huge star they banked on. I think they days of ex-soap stars getting viewers is over.
