Please can someone start up an Amy Barlow fan club? She is the most adorable baby I've ever seen!

ROTFLOL! That's very true. Can't be Tracy 4's child. Much too pretty. More like Tracy 3's.

Any child that is Toxic Tracey's, should have sprouting horns on her head

Did you see Paul O'Grady yesterday (now) where he had this pretend baby and it was the ugliest thing you ever saw? That'd be more Tracy's.

Congratulations, noxy! Do you think Tracy's labour was realistic? Amy is cute really when she's not in the pram. But she's very big for her age. Wasn't there 2 babies originally? I seem to remember reading somewhere one was bigger with lots of hair and it kept changing to a smaller one with less hair.

Weeeelll... thats a gripe of mine - i got pregnant exactly the same time tracy did and she gave birth 2 months before me! and my baby was on time! If the baby was premature she would have been kept in hospital and under observation for longer me thinks.... but hey - everything happens 2x faster in soap world!

I think that was said in place on the Net at the time about how big Amy was when she was born despite being premature. LOL! yes everything is faster in soaps. They get over grief before the body's cold in most cases! How's your little baby? Sleeping through the night yet?

LOL! Babies can be like that I'm told. Some sleep right through early on and others drive their parents crackers. Has she cut her teeth yet? Shows how much I know about babies, doesn't it? LOL!

Terrible twos and threes and fours. I could go on My daughter is an adult, and can still be a pain in the bum. But, we wouldn't have them any other way.

Dear All
I thought I would post a reply on this site as Amy is played by my daughter Rebecca Pike.
There were 3 babies originally - Holly, Trinity and Rebecca. Rebecca started filming when she was 3 weeks old, so she isn't as old as people think. People do tend to think she is older than she is because she has so much hair.
She does not appear on the credits, as no character can have their name on the credits until they have a speaking part - a bit unfair I think !
We have been really lucky as Rebecca hasn't had any problems teething and has slept though the night from six weeks old. She is a very placid baby - just as you see on the screen. I think we will get it all when she hits the toddler phase.
The response to Rebecca playing Amy has been overwhelming. She got the part purely by accident, the agency rang the ward the day I had her and Rebecca fitted their profile. We never imagined she would be picked !

Hi Tam and welcome! ;D Very unfair no credit. Is Rebecca as well behaved off screen as on? I didn't like the way Kate Ford appeared to ram the bottle down her throat in early scenes. Did you get any appearances with your hands feeding or holding Rebecca?

Kate is really good with Rebecca, she did find it hard at first but don't we all ! Rebecca was only 6.12 when she was born, so she was a tiny baby and it is difficult having to hold someone else's child.
We are always on the set when they are filming but Rebecca is always very happy and doesn't seem to miss us !

no character can have their name on the credits until they have a speaking part - a bit unfair I think ! Not really, otherwise that'd open the floodgates. They'd have to give credit to EVERYONE, meaning everyone in the background too who don't even get noticed. As for the baby, do they actually get paid for doing nothing? LoL

Thanks for answering again, Tam. Rebecca is very alert and seems so well behaved. Do they ever have to stop filming because she screams her head off? Are you keeping the TV mag covers whenever she's on it to show her when she's older?

Luckily they have very rarely had to stop filming because of Rebecca. She's very interested in everything going on around her, so that seems to keep her occupied most of the time.
We have been keeping magazine articles, hopefully she will thank us for this when she is older.

She did look so sweet sitting on Simon Gregson's lap in Corrie the other week and was very well behaved. Would you encourage her if she wanted to take up acting when she got older?

Tammy- im sure your daughter will thank you when she's older, and i bet your keeping all the money in a savings account when she's older. I would have loved to have had that chance, and its so fantastic you have informed us of this, spose its nice to speak to an insider.

If Rebecca wants to start acting when she is older then I will encourage & support her but is she doesn't that's fine ! None of her family are in the acting business, I think it is just a case of wait and see. If at any point Rebecca wasn't happy going to Corrie we would stop it. Luckily she seems to love all the attention she gets when she is there and just seems to do exactly what the director wants at the right time.
