I'll give you that although you were a bit off the mark. The connection is all the trouble was caused by a bloody great spider. The Animus in The Web Planet and The Great One in Planet of the Spiders. Both were destroyed, Animus by a neutrotope and Great One by the Metebelis crystal overloading its brain.
