Simple really. I'll start off a sentence, with the first three words, then somebody else comes along and adds the next three words in the sentence. And it just continues like that - every person adding on three words. I'm making it more complicated than it is!
Example
The old man | sat by the | fire looking at | his wife who| was sat doing | her knitting. Upstairs | a young girl ...
(Just imagine that they have all been posted by different people, and you sort of get it I hope.)
