Does anyone else agree with me that this character to should be in Heartbeat instead?
Everytime I see the guy, I keep thinking of Heartbeat rather than Emmerdale, is it me or does he suit Heartbeat better?

TBH I think he's one of the most boring characters to have joined Emm in a long, long time, and I don't find the actor very convincing either.
...and yes, he does have a strangely 'dated' look to him.

I think I know why he looks so dated! He sings Frank Sinatra's songs on stage in real life so maybe he keeps the look... Just a thought!

What a novelty to see him with a patient in his surgery tonight,Poor Alan. I have a feeling it was a novelty for Dr Adam as well. How long did Alan actually struggle to speak in obvious pain before Doctor Adam realised he was a doctor and supposed to be doing something? Seemed far too long to me. It's amazing the villagers are in reasonable good health at all.... You'd think most would have cirrhosis of the liver with all the filming that goes on in the Woolpack for a start....

Maybe he thought he was on stage. "Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be a wooden actor". Patsy

At least he is giving Steph a good meaty storyline, even if he is a bit ... dull!

I wish she'd throw him down the cellar. He's really starting to irritate me now.

I thought he was ok till he got involved with Stpeh, his other patients are being kept out in the cold now.
I still think he should swap shows.

He is still odd. I'm not surprised Alan keeps thinking he puts ideas in Steph's head.

He's awful - wishy-washy character, and his acting is as wooden as a very wooden thing (insert preference here - log? chairleg? broomhandle? whole forest of trees?).
He's made no impression at all, and as someone observed, he still seems like a short-term bitplayer.
