I am glad Eastenders is getting trounced in the ratings..mind you its a bad day when 2 top rated programmes both get less than 6 m viewers each....maybe its time the TV bosses took note and listened to why people are switching off in droves

If EE was on at 7 and did an hour though while Emmerdale was 7.30, then Emmerdale would be 'trounced'. People have videos and the omnibus for EE so it didn't really beat anything.
I agree with you there, Nick. Even though it is summer the weather's not exactly Caribbean, is it? Well Caribbean when it's not the hurricane season. LOL! They really need an overhaul of the ratings. In the 21st century they should be able to gather the info from everyone's home with all this technology instead of relying on 5000 people with boxes. If they say, for instance, Corrie is watched by 11 million going by 5000, what if the reality is it's only watched by a million?

Well I have to say it was different to what I had expected in the sense that I thought it would be one huge explosion and that would be that. Not to have one, then another and then another, and then the whole house in a heap.
The one thing that REALLY surprised me and my other half judging by the expressions on our faces, was the fact that Sadie smashed Jimmy over the head with a brick.
Now, I know Jimmy is a sleazebag in most people's eyes. but I am sorry that was nasty and pure evil.
I do hope Sadie does eventually die, or at least Matthew finally sees the evil bitch as she really is.

But that really did surprise me what Sadie did to Jimmy, and although what he was trying to do was out of Order that was nasty, and totally unexpected, and I wonder how many people was surprised by it?

surprised me too but Sadie was desperate to get away from Jimmy. I loved the Explosion, well done Emmerdale but what would make continous blast`s like that in a house though?

So it looksl ike the deaths are Dawn,Noreen and some bloke we have never clapped eyes on before
they tried to recreate, with Shadrach, the scenario of Seth dissapearing just before the plane crash and everyone thinking he was dead..then turning up......

Yep those are the ones. Estate agent. How thrilling - not!
Did they? I never saw the plane crash. Another example of too many eps. The all keep proving time and time again why they should all be reduced.

The Gas explosion was `Artistic License` North Sea Gas would go with one massive eruption; the house would have been blown to bits in one go!

That brick over the head by Sadie took me completely by suprise. I was totally convinced he was dead. The look on Sadie's face when he wasn't was a picture, also when he grabbed her wrist when she presumed he was unconscious. ;D

I agree with you, asm. It was more like there were little bombs all over the place in there than a gas explosion.
Jimmy's state confuses me, Sooty. Is he unconscious and it was a reflex action or is he codding? Made me laugh though in today's Mirror report about the ratings when it said Sadie died. LOL!
I was too, Valda. Well almost. I hated Dawn and am glad she's gone but the end was really sad.

I read that too Patsy...i wish these papers would get their facts right..and maybe do a little research..its not difficult
I was sorry Noreen went...I thought there was so much more you could have discovered about her past..an old theatrical career etc..maye an illegitimate child coming back to haunt her....still it gave Jenny Tomasin 12 months of work

It was sad though poor Noreen all on her own. Where was everyone? You could understand Val not being there because she was worried about Diane. But despite that massive explosion, hardly any of the villagers were there to help. Ashley should have been fending off cried of, "What sort of God can do such a thing?" etc etc or leading prayers. I hadn't actually realised that was Noreen until the credits listed her.
Hey maybe Val's the illiegitimate child and she leaves everything to her! LOL!

The look on Sadie's face when he wasn't was a picture, also when he grabbed her wrist when she presumed he was unconscious. ;D I think everyone must have been abit gobsmacked at that. Yes, I too was beginning to think she must have killed him, though hopefully his head was too think to be killed off. I really did not want him to die. I can't understand (Well I guess I suppose I can) why she would be so cruel as to do that, and still wish he was dead when she can see how cut up Matthew was to think his brother was dead. She is supposed to be in love with him. I was unsure of how Matthew finds out about her and Cain which he does do, but now it seems that Jimmy tells him and then it is up to Cain to confirm it. Whatever happens it seems Sadie is out on her ear next week. ;D Great! She does try to turn off his machines in the meatime though. Evil cow.

Sadie is just outright evil. I figured though, if anybody deserved to not die it was Jimmy King. Just because Sadie hit him with a brick. But oh my god, how mad is he gonna be at Sadie when he you know, comes too or whatever.
I hope he hits her with something over the head.

The explosion wasn't rubbish, but it just wasn't great. All the little "bombs" were silly. I was expecting one great explosion and then the house falling - not one here, there and everywhere.
One thing I did notice was that there were no other houses around that were built or even half built? Or at least I didn't notice them. Considering this was the showhouse - what else was it trying to sell?
I agree with Sharon that Sadie and her brick were very, very shocking - a nice twist. Hated the way that it was some stranger who died when both Danny and Sadie are leaving. It seemed a waste of dramatic exit just for the useless Dawn and the awful Noreen.
