According to the Radio Times website there is an episode of Corrie airing at 7.35pm on Sunday 4th May. ;D Apparently though (and this is not confirmed as we dont know the schedules for the next weekend yet) it is back for one Sunday only. The only logical reason I can see for this happening is they want to provide a strong lead into their 2 part Bank Holiday weekend drama "Flood" which is airing after Corrie on both Sunday and Monday that weekend. There is no other reason I can see for moving the 2nd Friday episode (which has been replaced with a family album repeat) to Sunday. So much for soap free weekends eh?  It does look good for a Sunday return for Corrie in the future if they feel they need it to boost other shows. |

It is on that day but it's the Friday one. It's illogical they moved it at all. Better to drop it altogether.

Well as I said the only logical reason i can think of is to boost the new drama starting on the Sunday. Proves they cant do without the soaps!

Yeah but that doesnt have the same ratings as Corrie gets. Plus they wouldnt really benefit moving Emmerdale as it would be Corrie would would provide the strong lead for the new drama.
I wonder if this might happen again in the future, especially around Euro 2008 as Corrie may be moved around.

Only because it reverts back to normal the following week with no Sunday episode. There are 4 next week and 6 the week after.

Exactly so ITV are being stupid again. How many times have they removed an Emmerdale from Sunday in the past to put a Family Album on, only to stick that ep elsewhere?

I do but miss Sundays. What annoys me is the double episodes.

I can't keep up. It was easier knowing which Reet was in before too. ITV will never see sense.

It was because they do one lot of credits for both episodes on Mon/Fri. Both eps should get their own credits if they are counting them as 2 episodes not 1 hour long episode. However to save time between they dont bother.

Yes but if Michael Grade was worth his salt he'd have axed some eps of it and Emmerdale instead of adding them to the week.

If people aren't interested they'll switch off anyway. They can't have much faith in it to do this.
