He can't even sing never mind act. What is it with people who think they're talented? A friend of mine was making a dreadful racket one day. I didn't realise it was her so asked what that racket was because it was hurting my ears. She told me she was singing. I said I thought someone was being murdered. Oh how she got the hump! She believes she can sing because her family told her she can and said she has a lovely voice. Only if you're deaf. At least I admit I have a lousy voice and can't sing. Prawn Gully seems to fall into the same category as my friend with fantasies because other people have told them they're great rather than dreadful.

Prawn Gully - I love it! I dont' love him though. Someone somewhere obviously told him once he was a grat actor and the sad part is he obviously believes it! I really like the dude who plays Marcus - who actually IS a good actor - and Antony Rotten just looks so amateurish when in scenes with him. he was a pain in the backside on Soapstar Superstar as well but because he said a few things back to the judges he got a few "go on my son" votes I think. he obviously thinks that everyone loved him o there. What a gimp ooh another name for him aas well as Prawn Gully 'Moany Rotton' ;D I agree whole heartedly about Marcus. I love Marcus as much as I hate Prawn...yes that much! ;D

Just found this from The Stage last year:
Cotton threads 2 million viewers By Mark Wright on August 14, 2007 6:47 PM | Permalink But will it last?
On the evidence of last night’s debut of That Antony Cotton Show, I seriously doubt it. In yesterday’s Square Eyes, I pondered whether the Coronation Street favourite would take Parky’s throne as the king of chat, or would he fall flat his back like Davina?
Sadly, I found little to recommend in That Antony Cotton Show and honestly, he nearly lost me when he came on to belt out a tune in sub-karaoke style, but for you dear reader, I stuck with it. That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back, but enough of the hatchet job. I like Antony Cotton, I like him in Corrie as Sean Tully, and it’s easy to see why he’s popular with the audience.
Doesn’t mean he’s going to make a good chat show host show, does it?
It’s understandable why ITV has commissioned the show (although traditionally, Street stars have generally not been allowed to take on other projects – I wonder how that went down in the green room?). Cotton is popular, but I’m not sure where this sense that the actor is some kind of national treasure came from. Hilda Ogden was a national treasure, but I doubt I’d want to sit down and watch That Jean Alexander Show. Although, come to think of it…
And here is yet more blurring of the line between reality and fiction. Who exactly does Aunt Mabel think she’s tuning into here? Actor and writer Antony Cotton, or the lovely Sean Tully off of Corrers? I’d pay good money that a straw poll would provide more than 50 per cent of those asked thinking it was the latter.
Or am I underestimating the intelligence of TV audiences? I guess that would make me a programme commissioner.
Fair play to Antony Cotton for wanting to do something new and develop his career, and I hope for his sake that this is a success for him. On the basis of the first episode, I’d say he has a long way to go, and if the audience turn against it, I worry it could damage the place of Sean Tully in the nation’s hearts. And that just wouldn’t do.
Let’s see what the overnights are saying this time tomorrow…

I`ve noticed that too. I really hope our Marcus gets a second chance though - the storyline with Maria proved that

I remember. Malcolm Hebden and he refused to even say Barbara was a nice woman. Probably because she's not. LOL!

I had a friend who 'met' Barb once. He was a young kid then and she was opening a shop in his part of the UK. When he cheekily asked her for a quarter of humbugs, she cuffed him across the ear `ole and told him not to cheek his eldest. She wasn`t joking either.

Blimey. Well that would fit with her transformation from nice woman to bighead. Her ex-husband is meant to have had an affair during that time as well which lasted 5 years. No coincidence it would have begun when she won her awards. If she can hit children without so much as a by your leave I dread to think what she was like to live with.
