I can`t say I`m surprised. No doubt now he`s suspended he`ll be running off his mouth all the more in drunken rants. I won`t miss him at all. He`s getting more like Peter Adamson (Len Fairclough) every day. At least Peter could act though. ;D

Link works fine, Tracey. I saw it on Ceefax and wondered why he gets suspended for allegedly doing that while Jimmi Harkishan wasn't. Patsy

There's been a few cases like this where there's newspaper reports and they either back them or suspend them. They should treat everyone the same. You're right about the favouritism, Valda.

I think he was suspended more for his spilling upcoming Corrie plots rather than the drunken rants itself. That alone makes Granada a bunch of hypocrites

I have never liked him or his character.
I have been reading in the papers for more than a couple of years now about this mans behaviour. You can only give him the benefit of the doubt for so long. It seems he and his characters edges are blurring into each other. I would be more than pleased to see him go.

It seems he and his characters edges are blurring into each other. A bit like Janice and Vicky Entwhistle.

Excellent point, CG. They're always leaking what's coming up to get viewers.

Me neither sootycat - on top of which, he is an appallingly bad actor - I can't understand how he's been kept on as long as he has.

From The Sun.
Here is his latest excuse: TROUBLED Corrie star Bruce Jones yesterday revealed he was attacked in a pub — three days before being suspended from the soap.
Bruce, who plays layabout Les Battersby, showed off a cut on his left cheek and said: “I was attacked with a bottle.”
He added: “It wasn’t my fault and I wasn’t drunk or anything.”
Bruce, 54, was in a pub near his holiday home in Conway, North Wales, when another drinker tried to grab a piece of cake from his alsatian Max. The drinker claimed he was bitten and the row spilled into a second pub later on.
Bruce said: “He pushed me off my stool and the next thing there was a bottle in my cheek. It looked worse than it was. I didn’t need stitches.”
On Tuesday bosses told him not to return to the set for six weeks after he leaked storylines in a drunken rant at a restaurant in Stockport, Gtr Manchester. He went straight for another pint at his local — The Old Grapes, owned by co-star Liz Dawn.

I`m not being funny or anything, but what was a dog doing inside a pub? You read enough bad stories about dog attacks, allowing a dog (especically an alsation) inside a pub is just asking for trouble. Did Bruce Jones fear for his safety that he brought his dog with him? If that`s the case it was sheer stupidty and if he wanted a drink, he should have stayed home. What a fool *hands Bruce Jones idiot of the year award*

Why would Bruce give his dog cake? I don`t know what cake it was, but if it was chocolate, then that`s bad for animals. Pats and Nick. You both have dogs don`t you? You wouldn`t give your animals cake would you??

Also...
Why? There was obviously some needle going on here already, so surely the sensible thing to do would be to detach oneself from the situation, not encourage it.
The bloke's a complete @rsehole - maybe this time they'll get rid of him.

So now Bruce has sobered up and started his blustering "it wasn`t me, it was them". Yeah right!

If i have a slice of fruit cake or madeira type of cake i usually give Cleo a little bit..but i don't give her chocolate..so choccy cake is out...if geoff and myself settle down to a bar of choccie..we always get cleo 7 or 8 doggie choc drops and we all curl up on the couch and munch away watching a film or something

My last dogs always had chocolate, even half and Easter egg each. They loved it. Never too much though in a day and always milk chocolate. I don't give Barbara and Louise any but that doesn't stop Louise pinching it, wrapper and all. Walking dustbin/hoover that one. Put anything down and it's gone before you can blink. They have had bits of cake if any dropped on the floor or something but I don't remember giving them any.

LOL! The bloke involved in the fight said in one of the papers Bruce started it. Now he would say that whether he was guilty or not. Nice little money maker for him.

sack the drunken gobshite..
Cleo has the odd couple of maltesers...she can here a packet open at 3 miles
she's very good tho..you can leave them on the table and she won't touch them till you give her one..and if you put any food on the floor on a plate she won't touch that either..you have to either give it to her yourself or put it in her bowl

Louise is getting like that. My dad left food and his tea on the table and she jumped up but just sniffed. Whereas Tuesday being chippy day both her and Barbara have actually pinched the food off the fork and plate!
