What a let down - road kill - did Tony pay for it? The way he was carrying I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out he is gay and fancied Liam himself - maybe that was the jealousy angle........

I wondered what you were talking about then, Cheetah. LOL! Now that would be a twist. Probably why he kept one eye on him at all times. Patsy

Well lets face it, who wouldnt fancy Liam LOL!
it was really sad tho, especially when Carla saw him and realised he was dead. Alison is a fantastic actress.

'Course he did - he was on the phone to his dodgy mate not long before.
I thought it was all pretty well done, most people acting their socks off.
Samia was surprisingly good, and I'm no fan.
One plot device I thought worked very well was the use of the Tony masks. When they all had them in place, just before Liam glued himself to the front of the Merc, you couldn't be sure who was talking, and I thought the whole atmosphere turned distinctly sinister - very simple, very clever.
Only thing that surprised me a bit was that no-one spotted the reg. of the Merc - the rear number-plate was well lit, and it stayed in view for a while. Obviously stolen, but nevertheless...

I agree BK it was very well done. I think the hit and run was the most likely of the 3 potential death scenes. I was impressed by Samia's acting too but Alison and Philip were excellent in their reactions.

Loved it.
With that bright yellow fleece thing that Liam was wearing......he might as well had a target printed on the back of it.
Bet Jimmy was driving that car.

Think in the spoilers it suggests that. Said that Tony was fed up that Carla was going to LA for a break when he had gone to all that trouble with Jimmy to get rid of Liam. Was it worth it ? he asked Well to add to the posts I fancy Liam and I have another year of him on our TVs LOL

Me! I don't fancy Liam. Patsy Neither do I - but I'll admit he's very dishy. Didn't notice Tony's phone call but the scene where he's throwing Liam's wallet in the canal after taking the kitty out just about said it all.

The papers report 9.39 million tuned in, calling it massive. Over 12 million would be that. This is average so failed to capture the imagination of the public.

Perhaps people are sick of the 'multiple endings' claptrap or just couldn't be bothered.

These are the figures for the week ending 5th October:
1 THE X FACTOR (SAT 1947) 10.84 2 CORONATION STREET (MON 2029) 10.16 3 THE X FACTOR (SUN 1810) 10.11 4 CORONATION STREET (MON 1932) 9.67 5 CORONATION STREET (WED 1932) 8.90 6 CORONATION STREET (FRI 1933) 8.68 7 CORONATION STREET (FRI 2030) 8.35
So a million up on the usual Friday but not as high as a Monday. Perhaps people are fatigued, having seen all this before with other villains. Soaps are starting to get very stale with so many eps to fill a week.
