From DSActress Tina O'Brien is "pleased and relieved" after giving birth to a baby girl. O'Brien, who played Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street, welcomed the child at 8am on Sunday at Manchester General Hospital. The father is O'Brien's former co-star Ryan Thomas. According to The Sun, the ex-soap star helped bring on the birth by playing on a trampoline. "She was desperate to hold her little girl and tried out all the tips to induce the birth," said a source. "Both mother and baby are doing very well. They haven't told anyone the name yet and are keeping ideas close to their chests."

From the Sun:
TV I want my Tina back on Corrie
Published: 10 Dec 2008 NEW dad Ryan Thomas is urging girlfriend Tina O’Brien to join him back on the Corrie cobbles.
Tina, 25, who played gymslip mum Sarah Louise Platt, gave birth to the couple’s first baby, Scarlett, in October.
And now Ryan, 24, whose character is Sarah Lou’s estranged husband Jason Grimshaw, is keen to get her back in his arms, onscreen as well as off. He said: “I would love to work with Tina again, I miss her on set. I want her back.”
Tina quit the show last autumn and viewers last saw Sarah when she left for a job in Milan.
Ryan added: “Jason and Sarah are a great couple and it would be fab if Tina came back into the soap.
“She’s a big name and a great character and Corrie is all about families.”
Ryan has dismissed reports he is set to quit the Street for Holby City or The Bill.
