From DSCoronation Street actress Kym Marsh and her partner, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, have today announced the sad loss of their first child. Their baby boy, named Archie Jay Lomas, was born 18 weeks premature in hospital on Wednesday night, before passing away seconds later. Speaking of the devastating news, the 32-year-old actress - who plays Weatherfield's Michelle Connor - said: "Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much. Thank you all for your support." Poor Kym, thats really sad

I was just about to post this! Yeah I have just seen this, I feel extremely sorry for her and the actor boyfriend Jamie Lomas, BUT I cannot help thinking that this relationship wont last long anyway They were to quick to gether and then it was announced she was expecting, and I thought, here is another baby without its parents - sorry thats cynical but my gut told me it was a 'whirlwind' thing and then this happens. Despite that, I do feel very sorry for them both.

Always sad when that happens.
I don't think you're being cynical, Sharon. Too many people expect a baby soon after getting together and the relationship ends anyway, usually before its born.

Thanks Patsy.
They just seemed to get together far too quick for my liking after her marriage ended, and although we dont know the ins and outs of her marriage toJack I felt she - like she said I think at the time, 'I want to have some fun' then she was all over this guy, and I am thinking 'IS this the same Kym that was a responsible married Mum a while back' then they were 'totally in lobe '(Like you are when you are in a relationship) then WHAM she was pregnant.
These days people just dont give marriage enough time, its too easy to get divorced etc.
And whilst I refuse to say it, I do feel sorry for them and in the long, run I fully expect them to split like i said, and this baby would have grown up with out its real parents.
The reason I refuse to say it, it may not come out right being typed.
Also we all know who Jamie is the half - brother of dont we??

From the news articles (tittle tattle?) it did seem she only wanted a babysitter from her relationship with Jamie but we'll never really know, just speculate. It's sad she lost her baby but then so do a lot of other women, including those in long-term relationships.
Oh that is so true. Look at all those women with umpteen kids by umpteen fathers or those people on their 3rd or 4th marriage. I read a piece once which blamed the disposible society. Fall out with someone, get a new one rather than just work at it. They should make divorce harder for anyone married less than 2 years.

Patsy It did not seem it was 'the real thing' I am afraid from what I read on them Well I have always believed that when you marry, it is for keeps, and if something goes wrong, you work at it. Marriage is about working at an compromise etc. I cannot understand these people who say 'I still love you but its not enough' BULL is my reply. It is far too easy now to get a divorce. I mean look at your Britney Spears and Peaches Geldof, they want a HUGE party get married as it makes them feel 'adult' and then when the reality sets in as she put it 'She could not imagine spendin the rest of her life with that one person' so now? SHe is getting divorced. it is too easy, and strangely enough, it was on the news this morning after I added my post that it was mentioned, marriage rates are completely down, as people find it easy to 'live together' then they can just 'walk away' People just dont want to know and it is 'just a peice of paper' I have to say it is a disgrace the way marriage is treat and looked upon They should make divorce harder full stop.

What terrible news. To have a baby born asleep must be devastating and I wouldn`t wish that on anyone. I don`t know if the couple plan to get married and have another baby in the future. A tragedy like this can either make a couple stronger or pull them apart completely. Kym seems a lot more smitten in this relationship than Jamie is. If anyone does the leaving I bet it`s Jamie.
I don`t, please enlighten me Sharon.

Bit like Jade and Jack. Jack's trying to keep a distance while she's forcing him all over the front pages.
Oh definitely. But it's still the kids who get hurt because so many women use them as a weapon. All praise the amicable split.

Really? I didn't know that but I've never even heard of him. Patsy There was a pic of Charley going to the studios of Corrie recently in one of the Soap mags, and the mag said, fans did a double take as obviously Charley is NOT of Corrie fame but Emmerdale. It then revealed she was going to visit Kym who was the fiance of Charley's half Brother who is that bloke from Hollyoaks, who incidently I have never heard of as I dont watch the soap?

Thanks Jez and Sooty. I had no idea about Danny Webb being the original Aaron. I did remember about Warren though...it obviously wasn`t filed away in my brain far enough lol Last week was a happy and sad event wasn`t it. What with the births of 2 lovely babies and the loss of a precious baby and the beloved wife of William.

It was a terrible pity that any mother loses her child. I have been there myself once a long time ago, she'll get over it, to a degree. No more.
