Isn't it strange that Paul hasn't mentioned his mum Andrea or his other grandparents Connie and Harry

I`m thinking Paul has ripped them off and they don`t want anything to do with him either.
In a book I was reading the other day (The Coronation Street Story by our fave writer DL), it was mentioned in there that Andrea had Paul adopted after he was born. And again in the 90`s Paul was mentioned when Vera and Jack tried to do a search for him. Then all of a sudden in 2000 Paul needs a kidney and doting mother Andrea asks for Jack and Vees help. Whatever they paid DL for research work it was too much

Ah but DL was meant to be the foremost authority, despite cocking up history in his own scripts. LOL!

It is strange he never mentions them. Maybe it isnt really Paul - afterall he only arrived because Molly left a message and anyone could have got that! lol

I liked that storyline in Crossroads. Fans of the old series didnt like it and said the characters were all wrong - Doris being glam, Adam a nutter. Well they were right, that wasnt Sarah Jane!

No. SJH was born in 1974 and her passport said 1976 so the 'real' one was an imposter. She'd also forgotten how much contact she had with Jill after her and Stan split up and how Stan and Jill were on good terms, as did Jill, so Crossroads MkII was the imposter. LOL!

Yes that was on the first DVD. Also on the most recent Crossroads DVD they cover the custody battle for SJH.

While it was Stan who persauded Jill, much to Adam's chagrin, to sell her shares in 1985 to MIH and also invited her to stay with him and Freya afterwards. It was also to Jill SJ ran away to with her new head in 1987 with Stan and his new head following to get her back.

Terry Molloy. He told me in 2002 when I met him that William Smethurst had asked Edward Clayton to go back for a couple of eps in 1987 and was told to eff off. So, as he knew Terry from The Archers, drafted him in. Terry throttled me for mentioning Crossroads! Patsy

What about Glenda (I think her last name was Brownlow). She seemed to be pregnant for about 18 months when her character supposedly couldn`t get pregnant. She got pregnant in real life and hurrah then Glenda became pregnant through the miracle of soaps ;D

LOL! No she was just plump. Glenda had IVF, the first soap character to do so.

Katy Louise
I always remember a Victoria Wood sketch that was done in a fly on the wall documentary set in a hospital, the interviewer was talking to a young couple who had come in for a 'test tube baby' (because it would give them more room in the flat instead of a fully sized baby), and he asked 'What are you here for now?' she replied 'Oh for some tests' he replied 'Fertility?' and she said 'It was f'something,I don't know if it was tillity'
;D
