The Sun reports she ruptured her spleen after a fall but Granada deny that. Poor Maggie. She's not had a good time this year. Get well soon!

I hope Maggie will be better soon - Blanche is one of the best characters in the show.

If Maggie is going to be off sick for a few months it will interfere with the filming of Blanche's new romance. There was a thread that mentioned her getting off with Anthony Valentine sometime soon, so I suppose that will have to be put on ice

Give him to someone else I expect. There was supposed to be Reet and Keith Barron but Barbara was ill without publicity so that never happened.

Maybe that's why they rustled up, Eve, as George's wife - since they don't know what to do with Blanche for the time being.
