True but that's why CGI never works for me. LOL! I prefer more realism. In the old days they would try and be who they were portraying so full marks to Jessie for doing that with Pat. Even Denise Black/Sue Johnston didn't.

I really enjoyed it, it was very interesting to see the story of how Corrie came about played out on screen. Also the 75 mins did fly by and I was left wanting to watch more!

I didn't watch this, but after hearing all you have said about it...I wish I had Sky+d it.

I think it will probably be repeated, maybe over on BBC1 or 2.
It got a lot of viewers.

We both loved it, tho' I never watched Corrie until the '80s, and my beloved was only just out of nappies when it started!

Thought the casting was excellent - really impressed by Jessie Wallace, and I was never a fan before this.

Also agree with Jez - it just seemed to fly by, which must prove how good it was.

I would have liked to see other actors portrayed ..the only other one I remember getting a name check was Betty (Alberge,Florrie Lindley) when they were rehearsing with Violets predecessor

Yes i noticed Betty getting a name check as well - it would have been great to have seen Minnie, Martha, Linda and Dennis etc. Although Minnie and Martha werent seen until ep 2 they would have cast them at the same time as everyone else.

I was assuming that the woman William Roache was sat next to telling her about his film career was meant to be Anne Cunningham (Linda Cheveski)
