I get really annoyed when I see "Coronation Street actor Andrew Lancel" when he's more known for The Bill. It all bloody kicked off about Bill Roache while I was crossing the Atlantic. I couldn't believe that when my dad texted but then Pat Phoenix didn't call him Cock Roach for nothing I'm sure. They fell out when he tried it on with her. I seriously doubt we'll see him again.
All this makes you wonder now about Peter Adamson.

I mean the allegations of child molestation he was cleared over.

He is alleged to have molested two girls (think they were 8 years old) at a swimming baths but was cleared in court. Got sacked after biting the hand which supported him by slagging people off in the Sun.

Corrie to explain Bill's absence:
Ken Barlow's absence from Coronation Street will finally be addressed on screen next week.
The ITV soap's longest-running character is not appearing in the programme while Bill Roache, who plays him, is facing charges of rape and indecent assault.
Ken was last seen on Monday, April 29, when Tracy (Kate Ford) caused tension by inviting new boyfriend Rob Donovan to dinner at the Barlows'.
In the Coronation Street double bill airing on Friday, July 12, Ken's absence will be worked into the storyline as his wife Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) reveals that he has flown off to Canada.
Ken makes the last-minute trip to support his grandson Adam, who is unwell after suffering a shock collapse.
Deirdre tells Tracy: "Canada is a long way away and he's got no other family. Blacking out like that is frightening, and he collapsed at work."
Tracy replies: "So dad just drops everything. You know something, I can't imagine he would ever do anything like that for me."

I won`t be watching it. I take no pleasure on hearing sordid details on what he may or may not have done. Even if he`s found not guilty - mud still still sticks and he will always have this trial hanging over his head. DLT and Rolf Harris`s trials start today too. I won`t be watching those either.

The whole thing is very unpleasant, whether any of them are found guilty or not - the one I'm personally most shocked about is Rolf Harris.

He boasted about having shagged 1000 and was nasty about those abused by others but this may not be true. I have doubts about the one claiming first 'Mike Baldwin' told her to be careful of him then changed it to 'Len Fairclough'. We know Peter Adamson was also accused but that was done at the time rather than decades later. A woman on a cruise of mine last year I refer to as Madam First Class knows DLT and believes it's true about him. What is interesting is Michael LeVell had NO character witnesses whereas these do. Trouble is, things were so long ago and Bill's met him years after the alleged events, how can they say for certain anything is true or not?

He has been found not guilty of all charges. I have always had my doubts about this and I am pleased at the verdict. The trouble is with cases like this, even though found not guilty (as with Michael Le Vell) there will always be a question mark over his head. His name has been banded about almost world wide while the accusers rely on anominity.
In a statement today, ITV upon learning of the verdict, the broadcaster said : "We look forward to talking to Bill soon about his return to work."

Thank goodness it`s over, what a massive relief for Bill. The media can go hound someone else now they`ve picked Bills bones clean. The trial has really taken a toll on Bill, he looks pale and gaunt. I hope he goes on a nice long holiday for some rest and relaxation. I`m looking forward to seeing his return. I`m sure it will be a good one.

Still think he did himself absolutely no favours by spouting off the way he did a while back.

Trouble is, with so many cases going to court on flimsy evidence, it makes it harder for genuine victims to receive justice.
