I have read that Bagpuss and The Clangers are to be re-made. Is nothing sacred.

No narrator could ever be as good as the late but great Oliver Postgate. Who is it doing the narrating in the new one Pats? Sounds a bit like Brian Cant, but I bet it`s not.

It was a bit slow and I wouldn't have started a series with one about notes but I'll see how it goes.

I am soooooooooooooooo loving the new Clangers! After a dodgy start the next two have been better. Today's was funny. Finally a remake worthy of its predecessor!

We watched the one where the Clangers were taking soup from the Dragon without saying please and thank you .... for once I think it is a good remake and keeps the spirit and look of the original

You just knew the bag would burst. I expected to to be inside the cave, making the Soup Dragon go more PMT but it was still good. There's some obvious CGI but it's not distracting. I liked today's and thought the Soup Dragon was coming out when she was proud of her rainbow knitted outfit. LOL!

I've really been enjoying the little knitted creatures. Used to watch the original when my daughter was little.(showing my age here) I think they have done well with the remake, and I love the way they can now blink

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the audience are adults with kids or grandchildren to watch with. I'm going away next week so will catch up on iPlayer. I'm not missing my Clangers fix. Best thing on telly right now. LOL!

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the audience are adults with kids or grandchildren to watch with. I read a letter in a paper from two 0APs saying it was their favourite programme Loved the little lullaby We should turn this into a Clangers thread

I meant which version of the remake will you watch, Wend. Palin is on Cbeebies while Shatner is on Sprout over there. My fave so far is Tiny's Lullaby. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy. Watched it loads. Love it.

How's this Sooty? Great I loved the orange knitted scarf I also think Michael Palin is doing a great job narrating. I am a sucker for these daft little programmes, but my absolute favourite is Shaun the sheep

Our fears were groundless - for once! Usually we're pretty bang on about remakes. It's obvious some parts are CGI but they're not in your face and blend in with the live action. I think everyone involved is a fan. My fave ep so far is Tiny's Lullaby. She acts so human and I loved her carrying her Sky-Moo around the place as she tried to get her lullaby. Selfish little sod though but you felt sorry for her. LOL! Michael Palin has improved I think. There are some clips on Sprout's YouTube channel with Shatner's narration. Quite a difference in tone at times. www.youtube.com/user/Sprout/videosI have a friend who loves Shaun the Sheep.
