I quite enjoyed this episode all round It was very good.
- Danny and his rivalry with Liam is rather obvious, there is the fact I think Danny would rather have had "haggis" instead of this chap, devil you know and all that! But the real crunch is he bought Frankie flowers, under a very flimsy excuse. I think its reasonable to suggest these two are going to get back together.
- Norris and Rita, this row is really odd, but, I have never laughed so hard. When they said that whoever walks through the door next can have the holiday and decide who to take with them, and it was Blanche, that was perfect! Norris and Rita both agreeing then it was a ridiculous idea anyway. I laughed hard at that!
- Deidre, back on the fags! That happen lately or was tonight the first? I missed a few episodes, but, well, I don't know whether to pity her or envy her!! LOL
- The real point tonight was Liz getting into the role of Landlady, I do not know how this is going to work out, but should be ok I think. I just dont know what to make of this. Good or bad, I think we just have to wait and see, but perhaps Steve and that new barmaid, whose name has escaped now, can get together.

I really enjoyed this episode as well. However if I was Frankie I wouldnt take Danny back and go for Liam. However she probabaly will end up taking Danny back in the end.
Reet and Norris in the Kabin was good, although Norris annoys me.
Deirdre having a fag outside was a bit random as nothing has been mentioned about her smoking for ages.
I agree Nick, the end did seem rushed, Liz called time in the Rovers which would have been about 11pm then the next thing it was gone 1am!

Deirdre did have a smoke when she was out with Liz and was it Eiileen or Frankie the other week I asked my middle daughter what happened, should have thought to ask her first, and she said same. Fancy that then, proof just one is never just one. I agree with you Jez, its written on the wall almost, Frankie and Danny are going to reunite. Its a shame really, because while they are together all he will ever do is cause her pain, because I dont doubt he does love her, but he will continually chase other women.

Why would Deirdre stand out in the street in her dressing gown to have a ciggie when they've got a perfectly good back yard where she won't scare the neighbours!

Not only that, but if you want to keep something like that a secret you so DON'T stand in the street where anybody could see you! God! They must be making a point: smoking is being banned in all sorts of establishments all over the country. The only place where people will be allowed to smoke is at home - maybe they're going for a storyline where the rest of the family complain about her smoking at home. Ken has moaned about it before - so maybe he's about to get TOUGH.

Some people can be hard and put their foot down without shouting and balling, Ken though is very flimsy even for that. He just is not a confrontational person. Sometimes you can try to put your foot down and it goes nowhere, but you at least have to try.

LOL Valda. Well I didn't want to say constipated but that was what I meant. Give him some prunes! Let's hope the glue holds when it get windy. Probably looking for a book he's never read, Sooty. Perhaps he should try something like Jackie Collins. Patsy

I happened to be flicking through the tv channels last night and ITV London had a programme which Bill Roach was a guest on. He said that he is 10 years older than Ken!

Yes he was born in 1939 so he is 66 going on 67 I think.
Blanche is apparently 70 so isnt much older than Ken.

More his own age then. LOL! I'm sure Bill Roache isn't 76. Unless he forgot how old Ken actually is. Last I remember he was definitely somewhere near Barbara's age and she's 73 today.

Yeah I didnt think Bill Roache was that old either. Maybe he has forgotten Ken's age.
I cant believe Blanche is only 70 though - younger than Reet, Emily and way younger than Betty when she looks older than them all! Im sure Maggie Jones must be older than Blanche - anyone know how old she is?
