Wouldn't Rita and Norris need to get a qualified post office worker in while they are away to run the post office..surely they can't just close it while they are away..and Ken isn't qualified

I thought Blanche would prefer to walk a few yards to the Kabin PO rather than fly on her broomstick to a post office further away ;D

Maybe they have closed the Post Office and thats why they changed the main name back to "The Kabin"

Our newsagents, as I mentioned back in March, now runs our post office after the crappy Co-op closed in the village. They're still called what they were before so I never did understand why in Corrie it was called Post Office when only main ones are called that. Perhaps they finally realised the error, unless it's a northern thing.
The number of times Blanche uses her broomstick, CG, I bet it's on permanant charge.

Being a Northerner - it's definitely not a 'northern thing' - same rules apply here as everywhere else - my local one was called Martin's - but it's shut down now. Wasn't that a fantastic line of Rita's about Norris???

Thanks for that, Cheetah. It just seemed so daft that in Corrie it was a sub-post office yet was done up on the outside as if it was a main one so I wondered if they always did that up there. All of our subs still have the name of the shop they're in with the red PO sign attached. Patsy

Wouldn't Rita and Norris need to get a qualified post office worker in while they are away to run the post office..surely they can't just close it while they are away..and Ken isn't qualified We've got proper Post Offices near us as well as a sub Post Office within a newsagent/sweet shop which very often has the 'Closed' sign up while the rest of the shop is open. They don't seem to care, because there is proper Post Office less than a mile away. In Weatherfield, however, the only person who sends mail is David Platt - and expert advice is on hand all day as Norris will phone Ken 20 times a day anyway. .

LOL! Reet's probably tied Norris's hands together to stop him phoning.
One of our subs is having a revamp next month. The signs in the window is very confusing. On one it says the SHOP is undergoing refurbishment and will be closed but they'll still sell things. On another it says the PO.
