Where's Maya these days? Patsy Ask Becky and Kelly - they probably ran into her during their stretch. Come to think of it - there's a hell of a lot of ex-lags on the Street: as well as the aforementioned there's Deirdre, Hayley, Steve, (Cilla?), Les, Jamie - even Reet's spent a night in the cells. A right bunch of ne'erdowells.

Maybe there should be and they move into Charlie's house. Course then they'll end up murdered. LOL!

Back to the original topic: Claire is a fully qualified nanny, and supposedly a good friend of Eileen's - I'm sure she would look after Holly for a few hours here and there so Jason, Violet and Eileen could go to work or have a break.
One more baby wouldn't be a big deal for her surely, as she found time to keep a diary of Charlie's 'abuse' of Tracy and generally be a do-gooder.

Looks like the writers have too. When would she have got the time to do the diary anyway with a newborn and toddler in the house? She'd have been that zonked she wouldn't pay attention to anything.

She'd have slept through most of it. Did she yawn a lot when Tracy was lying to her?

So they finally remembered that Claire was a nanny. But Claire has got TWO kids, so it's hardly fair on Eileen - she will get stuck looking after Joshua as well as Freddie, and Claire will just look after Holly.

Josh is in school though isnt he- he is almost 5 now. True, but school terms last about 3 days and then they get another month off.

But she could take holidays to coincide with the school holidays

You can in soap land - but in the real world employers are less accomodating, and you earn bugger all working term-times only. Claire's husband has his own business (and he recently sold the pub to Liz) and Eileen has a whole housfull of people earning and contributing. Personally I think they're both mad to want to go back to work when they've got other options.

True - babies don't make the best company, but if the job the're so desperate to get back to is in Street Cars, it's hardly thrilling stuff! They showed a close up shot of that hideous armchair again with the foam hanging out - what a lovely office!

Delightful scenes at the end of last night's episode with Jason and Holly. It is quite obvious that he will end up being heartbroken when part-time mum returns to reclaim Holly.
Do we know when this is due to happen?
