Hi Liam! I missed the episode (I am going to try my best on Sunday but I doubt I will see it) but did hear a lot of people saying it was the best episode of any soap this year. I'm hoping that Shane Richie's acting is up to scratch though. I don't know if I will be able to bear any more c**p acting from him. He used to be good when he first started - but I suppose now he doesn't bother knowing that he will be going soon anyway.

I thought alfie's face was a picture when he had finished reading that letter of Nana's wishes, if that didn't drum it into him i don't knw what did. Great stuff from Hilda braid and froma a usually-average Shane, especially where he broke down on the beach.
Some great writing though, and a very touhing episode and fitting tribute.

I have it on video so plan to watch it later this week. Glad to hear that SR did a good job - he usually doesn't!
I actually decided against watching EE tonight. I said I would rather come on here!

Not a great Shane Ritchie fan as of late, but I have to say he was absolutely fantastic in this episode. I don`t know who was blubbering more....me or Alfie. EE has always done well with period costume flashbacks, and in this episode they didn`t dissapoint. Nana was wonderful...as was the actress who played young Victoria Moon. The best episode of the whole year, it almost makes up for the dismal 6 months I stopped watching.... almost.

I read somewhere online that Shane was crying real tears in this scene...I can see why.

I've seen that now and it was very intense and so well written. Even my dad watched bits while he waited to switch the video off for me and enjoyed what he saw. It was very strange going to yesterday's after Friday's emotionally packed episode. Well done to everyone at EE for a superb episode.
