Jim Branning’s teenage grandson arrives in early next 2006
Charlie Clements, aged 18, is set to play Bradley Branning. He arrives in Walford after accepting a job in the East End. The job means Bradley moving away from home but it's the push he needs.
Bradley arranges to stay with his grandfather Jim in Walford. Bradley's never really known Jim, but has always wanted to know more about his family roots.
Bradley's 18 and has never had a serious girlfriend. He's looking for a girl with strength of character and a bit of spark. Maybe he’ll find her in Walford…
Charlie, whose credits include The Bill and Popcorn, said “I’m very excited to be joining EastEnders and joining such a great family with Dot and Jim. It’s wicked.”
From the EE website!
He sounds interesting! There are also several other new signings including four new members of the Wicks family, Joe's friend who is set to fight with Pauline, Honey's father and a new doctor. All of them sound good.

And Honey's father (think it is) has been recast as David Essex can't to it now they've decided to extend his appearances.

Hopefully these newbies will make the Sqaure an exciting place all through 2006.

Well apart from missing parts over the past couple of weeks, I am surprisingly still enjoying it so if it carries on like this, I'll still be watching during 2006! ;D

I'm hoping there will be some really brilliant things in the next few weeks as well. Next Friday is supposed to be a devastating episode!

They wanted to make David Essex's character alot more bigger and longer lasting, mainstream, but Essex is recording a new album next year or something, so has had to turn it down in the end. Siame really, i think he should've forgot the music (Please!) and done EE.

LOL! Oh I agree. Maybe they'll get Alvin Stardust instead. LOL! What album's this anyway? Another cover version one these past-it stars do to make money?
I'll be watching that then, Eithne. See how they handle it.

Siame really, i think he should've forgot the music (Please!) and done EE. He's had plenty of publicity recently about his reputed part in EE, enough to ensure decent sales of this forthcoming new album. Call me cynical, but maybe he never had any intention of taking the part - maybe he just wanted to stir up some old ladies loins, and get them hobbling down to HMV, without them watching EE and seeing how old and past it he looks these days. .
