Is anybody watching this on BBC1. I have seen it described being a cross between Grange Hill, and Bad Girls It is quite good. One of the actors in it is Ryan Thomas's brother ( Jason Grimshaw from Corrie ) Aren't they alike

Mirror images...mirror roles too as they both play the 'me me me' characters to a fine art. Waterloo road will be on BBC-America in June ;D

Just seen this on Digital Spy. New education drama Waterloo Road has been recommissioned for a second series. BBC drama controller Jane Tranter has ordered 12 more episodes of the Rochdale-based show, a 50% increase on the first series of eight - four of which are still to air. The drama has pulled in solid numbers for BBC One in its Thursday 8pm slot, with an average of 4.8 million viewers each week. A spokeswoman for production company Shed told DS: We're delighted with the success of the first series so far and we're thrilled to have a second series commissioned." That is good news.

Glad that he did...Go Steph. ;D ;D
From Digital Spy
Waterloo Road fanatics will be pleased to know that filming on the second series will commence at the end of June.
As yet, there's no news on a likley air date but early indications point to spring 2007. Something to look forward to.

I am sad to hear this, but I always thought once it moved from Rochdale it's days were numbered.

The setting for BBC's Waterloo Road, the former Greenock Academy building in Renfrewshire, Scotland, is to be demolished.
The show's cancellation, announced earlier this week (April 2), has led to the green light for the 160-year-old school site to be re-purposed and sold off by the council for redevelopment.
What a sad end.
