Still sounds like a lot of fun. If there was ever anything like that here, I'd like people to go as their favourite characters and sing karaoke songs that suit the personalities (if you know what I mean). Yes, or shops! ;D I'm doing my best to save up for Australia because I KNOW I'll end up spending a fortune, especially if there's any sales. Patsy

When are you planning to go to Australia? That would be so wonderful. I have a friend in New Zealand who I would love to go and visit some day.

Well the plan is flying out on the 21st January for about 3 weeks. I want to book it now because I'm so impatient but the flights are just extortionate! Qantas is double what it was for the same period this year and Singapore Airways is over £4000 - and that's economy! I'm hoping it's a glitch and they're just not taking bookings for economy yet, especially since for Qantas it keeps saying no seats available. I can't wait to go back. Juanita has a new house now with air conditioning and a pool. I can't swim, though she's a qualified instructor and reckons she can teach me. I wish her luck getting my feet off the bottom! LOL! But it'll be nice to just sit in the pool on a really hot day. She's taking me to places south of Perth this time like Albany and Margaret River though I do want to go back to Fremantle (had PMT with migraine when I went last time and that after a VERY late night boozing is a bad combination) and the gorgeous Rottnest Island. I'm taking the camcorder this time. Wish I did last time but wasn't sure what to expect. I was meant to go back last year but it has to fit in with her work since she's a self-employed clever clogs. But January she teaches swimming to supplement her income for the taxman and Feb is very lax. Last time we spoke on the phone in October (longest ever at 3 hrs 9 mins) she suggested I go over for Australia Day so I'm keeping everything crossed I can get the right dates. I can't wait! ;D I'd love to go to NZ. From what I've seen, it looks gorgeous. Juanita's been a few times but then it's only a 5 hour flight for her. I think, unless I win the lottery or marry a squillionaire, Australia's the furthest I'll get out that way. I'm sure you'll manage to get over there someday, Deborah. And, if it's anything like Australia, you'll never want to leave. ;D Patsy
