Absolutely loved it. As an ex-nurse I had forgotten how much we had progressed.
I thought the characters were great and the actresses were excellent....I will be interested to see how Miranda Hart comes across. I believe she was deliberately selected for the role as the character she will be playing was 6ft 2ins.

It was strange to see 'Minty' again LOL
I loved that one couple who had all those kids....was it 24?. It made a change to see a married couple with all those kids who were still madly in love with each other. It was lovely to see that even with all that squalor and decay, that family pulled together. A rarity in post war East End.
I`m looking forward to next weeks episode!! ;D

Character who used to work in the garage in EE with Phil and Gary IIRC?

In fact the character 'Fred' in 'Call the Midwife' played a similar character in 'Bramwell too. Loved that show - must dig out my DVDs and watch `em again ;D I`m glad Cliff Parassi got some work after EE.

A thoroughly enjoyable series....I was sad to see it end. I can`t wait to watch the new series. Hubby finished watching it today - he really loved it. It`s a rarity that he`ll watch a drama that doesn`t have CSI or NCIS in the title ;D

Yes, we both enjoyed it too. Good strong, well-written characters, and good storylines too.
Nice to see Tina O'Brien in the last episode - thought she played her part very well.

I agree Paul.... Tina O`Brien is a very good actress. She played a great character in Casualty a few months ago too.
Hubby roared with laughter at Chummys comment to her snooty Mother about not being able to wear white at her wedding. He laughed so hard, poor little kitten Monty who was sleeping on his lap jumped off in fright. ;D ;D

Best episode ever last night? Pretty gritty stuff, but very well done. .....and how do they get hold of all those tiny babies for the birthing scenes?

From what I have read there is a queue of pregnant women lining up to get their baby screen time. ;D

It was a great episode last night. The costume and props departments deserve awards for making the show so authentic. You can almost smell the decay from the East End.

Another excellent episode last night.
Although I enjoyed the first series, it was a little 'safe' and perhaps a bit wishy-washy (typical Sunday night fayre).
This series has had much stronger storylines, and has been all the better for it.

Wow they really pulled out all the stops for realism Sunday night.

I'm afraid we wimped out - storyline sounded just a little TOO strong to accompany our tea! I'm sure it was done very well though.

It was done perfectly and sensitively Paul. I especially loved the ending. Good to see Tristan again too...I have really missed him since he left as Adam in Casualty.

So is that the last ever episode and series of 'Call the Midwife'? All the ends seemed to have been tied up, so I won`t hold my breath on another series....or a Christmas special either.
