This is wrong:
Alf Roberts — shopkeeper, mayor and general good egg — made a sudden exit from the series when Bryan Mosley, the actor who played him, died. Never seen on screen, it was reported he died quietly and peacefully in his armchair.
We SAW him dead in the New Year episode then Bryan Mosley died months later. I think he's getting confused with Albert Tatlock.

I still maintain that Bryan Mosley died of a broken heart when he was let go from Corrie.

It wouldn't surpise me Wendy

That wouldn`t surprise me either Nick. Long time cast members on a soap love their jobs, and to have it cruelly taken away so suddenly would be dangerous for their health. It`s a different story if they choose to leave I`m sure.

I was one. I'm getting to that point with EE so if I miss any, I don't care and aren't in as much of a hurry to catch up when I've been away. I still have a tape with eps I haven't seen. Nick has REALLY surprised me, since he gave up before after his wonderful eulogy, then returned. I expected the same now (still could happen with Betty's funeral!). It's hard to break the habit but you know when you get to that point when you can't take any more.

LOL....I think the difference was that before there were still characters I cared about and liked...but now I couldn't give 2 hoots about any of them
The incident that tipped me over the edge was John Stape jumping off the hospital and then being seen to have walked away.....thats was like something out of a cheap horror film and utterly ridiculous in a series that is supposed to reflect real life.

Yeah,,,,, the ridiculous storyline could have ended right there - instead of boring storylines with characters I really couldn`t give a stuff about. Pointless, pointless, pointless. Yes I`m talking about you Fiz Stape. Why is she still here? She adds nothing to Corrie at all.
