Not bad, all in all, despite some dodgy accents and dodgy acting - particularly from the 'heart throb' Moray. A bit too much like Willy Wonka for my liking, and his Swiss Tony-like delivery of his lines was quite irritating, but maybe he'll grow on me.
Nice to see a mini Larkrise to Candleford reunion: Minnie, Fisher Bloom, and Sarah Lancashire as the narrator.

I`ve watched about 15 minutes of it so far, and it is rather good.

I enjoyed it. Seemingly it was written by the bloke that did Larkrise. BBC are really on the ball getting this out before ITV's similar type series 'Mr Selfridge'

It's alright - watchable certainly. It's definitely very like Larkrise in atmosphere and style. And I'm still expecting Moray to say 'Dudley, running a glamorous and luxurious department store is very much like making love to a beautiful woman...'

It appears this has been axed, sad, I rather enjoyed it. Seems like it couldn't compete with 'Mr Selfridge'

I won't miss it - we lost interest towards the end of the first series, and haven't watched any of the second.
