.....starting in July. Called UKTV Drama, it will feature just that - repeats of popular series like Pride & Prejudice, Sharpe, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Cranford, and Tipping The Velvet. Sounds good to me - there are quite a few 'classic' TV series that I missed out on.

Sounds brilliant.....and free too. Coincidently enough, 2 weeks ago my hubby started watching my Auf Wiedersehen Pet DVDs series 1-3. He really loved them. I was worried he wouldn`t understand the accents...especially Oz`s. But he understood them perfectly. Last night he watched the remaining Auf Wiedersehen Pet series on You Tube.

This sounds really good - a bit like what UK Gold was supposed to be for, before it became invaded by Last Of The Summer Wine.
Does anyone remember a BBC series way back called Johhny Jarvis? It didn't run for long, but I really liked it at the time. Maybe that will be one of the featured series.

Never saw that - was a hectic period in my life, when I rarely watched TV. Title is vaguely familiar tho' and it looks very interesting, judging by Wiki info.

I can think of all sorts brilliant stuff on there in the future....Upstairs Downstairs (the original), Duchess of Duke Street, Tenko, The Onedien Line, Poldark, Edward VIIth, A Woman Of Substance, Boys From The Black Stuff, Heartbeat. Wow the list is absolutely endless. If I still lived in Wales, I`d hardly ever go out lol ;D

Sorry Wendy, but IMO Heartbeat has already been repeated faaaarrr too many times! Lots of other shows they could air:- Shoestring, Howard's Way, Survivors, Day of the Triffids (the original with John Duttine), To Serve Them All My Days, When the Boat Comes In, Take Three Girls, The Avengers, The Prisoner..... The list is endless! ;D

UK Gold showed Tenko intact in it's morning and night showins. UK Drama cut bits out for some reason.
I remember the original Bravo. They listened to the viewers and got a load of ITC and other programmes. I'd seen some like The Avengers but many from the 50s I hadn't and really enjoyed. Then they became that awful sci-fi type monstrosity.
