As part of our 'retro' season, Carol & I are now watching this on DVD. Brilliant BBC eco-thriller made in the mid '80s, which won a shedload of BAFTAS. Starred the late, great Bob Peck, Joanne Whalley, Joe Don Baker, Zoe Wannamaker, and a host of other recognizable TV actors. Moody music by Eric Clapton, and a sense of realism totally lacking in a lot of today's dramas. (Why do all the actors in 70s/80s shows all look more like you and me? Is it the fascination of today's casting directors and actors to look perfect, with their teeth-whitening, and facial uplifts?) ...anyway, I digress. The show has dated amazingly well, and I'm enjoying it even more than when I first saw it; it's all new to Carol and she's loving it too. This from Wikipedia:- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_of_Darkness..and anyone remember this publicity still?
