Anyone else watching? Confusing, frustrating, baffling political thriller, but soooooo good to watch! Superb photography and settings, and brilliant acting by absolutely everyone, particularly Maggie Gyllenhaal, Stephen Rea, Tobias Menzies and Janet McTeer. ....and Maggie Gyllenhaal's English accent has got to be just about the most convincing I've heard from ANY non-Brit. 9/10 ( misses one point because I'm not really sure what's going on yet! )

We watched the first episode but got fed up with the constant mumbling and the overall sound quality

Really? We had no trouble with the sound at all. Jamaica Inn was the only thing that caused us major problem and that was almost entirely down to one actor.

It's just that in modern dramas I don't think the actors epak relaistically....all they do is talk in hushed melancholic tones and it irritates me..one day someone will enter a room and be bouncy and speak loudly and clearly (dream on lol)
