Excellent first episode tonight. So far so good. I loved the build up to the "murder". That was one hell of a whack she gave him. Cant wait to see what happens next. I am a fan of Kate Ford but will give constructive criticism. She was terrible in the first scene with Bill Ward, and again with Claire. But more than made up for it in the final scenes with Bill Ward. Im also glad they concentrated on this storyline for most of the episode. Cant wait for the 2nd part!

Diabolical. I had the TV on to switch the vid off before changing over to BBC1 and KF was appalling. I switched over after EE to do Teletext and she was worse!

Reet! Didnt expect to see her tonight!
I really enjoyed this episode more than the first. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.
Firstly, I thought Tracy was really clever the way she positioned the knife and cut her hand to make it look like he attacked her.
Blanche was funny when she said she fell asleep in the bath and missed it all.
Trust Norris to be so nosy - Reet was amusing when she said he might get the money for the overdue papers afterall!
It looks like Maria still has feelings for Charlie afterall.
Liked the neighbours and Tracy's reaction when they discovered Charlie was still alive.
9/10 for both episodes.

How could anyone tell Tracy's reaction when she does the same one like using the same tone of voice?

She looked shocked and worried that he wasnt dead.

I'll believe that when I see it. She can't do shocked or worried any more than she can do crying, compassion or comedy.

I don't usually watch so I can't comment on anyone's acting ability past or present. But I was really bored with the whole thing and in my opinion everything was terrible from the script to acting. It's not enticing me to watch the next episode.

I haven't done the wordies for Reet yet but I ran it back to get to the end of the credits and saw that bit in the police car. She didn't look any different to the way she'd been a minute earlier.

Apart from the rather embarrassing 'lap dance' moment, I thought both episodes were excellent, with great acting from all concerned.
So, like Jez, I'll give them 9/10

Agreed, the lap-dancing nonsense was utterly cringeworthy.
Kate Ford's acting was conceivably her best yet - though helped by a nicely-judged performance from Bill Ward - but it was still well short of anything decent.

Yes the lap dancing moment we could have done without, but all in all it was excellent.

Though, thinking about it, maybe the lap-dancing sequence was meant to be cringe-worthy, to show how desperate she was?

Why did Tracy stick the knife in the back of his hand as well as the front.?? That cannot be classed as a defence wound.

Maybe she'll go down for crimes against acting finally. How many murders have there been in Corrie over the past 5 years involving being hit over the head? It's boring. Patsy

It is getting ridiculous...I blame Maurice Jones..its since he built the new houses on the 'posh' side..all the maniacs and murders seem to take place on that side of the street (Hillman,Killer Katy,Tracey)

LOL! True. Even Alan Bradley failed. Would have succeeded if he lived that side.

KF was worse than ever - I know she was meant to be lying when she said 'Charlie I adore you, we kick off each other...etc blah blah' but it was sooooooo boring and dragged out. Everybody knew what was coming and yet she was just killing the scene instead of killing Charlie.
And Amy was in the house when she did it - why didn't Tracey dump her on Dierdre before carrying out her plan?
Can't stand that creepy scouse cop who keeps turning up - he's the one who interviewed Steve Macdonald over the Ronnie hit and run business.

Because it looks better for her having Amy there, playing in her room - a more "normal" domestic scene than if it was just Charlie and Tracy on their own. I quite like the cop. It is good continuity having the same DC and police officers.

I think tehy should turn 'Turners joinery' in the viaduct into a police station They should just sell police electronic ankle tags at the Kabin, and be done with it.

Better make them lock permanantly then. Hey now that's an idea. Think what Reet could do with Norris while he's wearing them. And nothing kinky!
