LOL!
Getting back on topic, Norris really irritated me last night. He was a bit OTT with trying to find out what happened to Charlie.
I also forgot to mention in my reivew, it was funny listening to Charlie singing along to Oasis hit song "whatever". Made me laugh!

Two good episodes I thought, even if the build up to the murder was overdone - with the actual event being over in about three seconds. I'm not buying into Tracy's change from Street bitch to Street killer though. Way too OTT.

I think this storyline has a chance in winning the 'best soap moment' in this years soap awards. Whether it could win best soap though is anybodys guess.

I hope this storyline wins loads of awards this year, CorrieGirl. If they dont win the BAFTA and Best Soap at the soap awards after the excellent year they have had its a disgrace.

May be up for Best Exit but then there's Tom King out the window to contend with which at least was something different.

Kevin O'Sullivan in the Mirror:
WEATHERFIELD OR SPRINGFIELD? BLOOD on the cobblestones as Tracy Barlow smashed Charlie Stubbs' skull with what looked suspiciously like an Oscar statue. Talk about an inappropriate weapon!
No awards necessary after Corrie's most explosive couple fought their final battle in a toe-curling torrent of over-acting.
"You've been plotting to kill me," snarled Charlie as he ordered bunny boiler Barlow to pack her bags. "Can you see how that might affect my desire to live with you?"
"Well, yeah but..." stuttered Tracy (Kate Ford), unable to deny that he had a point.
It was billed as the volcanic moment when Tracy exacted fatal revenge for Charlie's two-timing treachery. Dressed in fishnet stockings and sexy top, the scheming brunette beguiled the excited chippie with her lapdance of death. Then she viciously battered the poor bloke senseless while he sat on the sofa listening to Oasis.
"I hate you!" hissed Tracy, convinced her meticulous plan to get away with murder was proceeding seamlessly.
One slight problem - Charlie was still alive. As Homer Simpson would say...Doh!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Garry Bushell in the People:
OVER-THE-TOP CORRIE'S GONE WEST bushell on the box SO farewell Charlie Stubbs, the first bloke bludgeoned to death by a woman on Corrie since...ooh, at least 2005.
Did he deserve it? No! OK, Charlie was a love rat, a control freak and a bully. But he wasn't exactly Fred West.
Tracy is just as manipulative and morally incontin en t as he wa s. Her convoluted scheme to set him up as a wife-beater before killing him in "selfdefence" rang about as true as Frankie and Jamie's belated fling.
ITV seem intent on turning Corrie into Emmerdale with farfetched plot twists and over-staged scenes, like the Baldwin men per ched ridiculously on that aquaduct. What next, lipstick lesbianism? Don't bet against it.
Corrie does comedy better than anyone, but its drama content is starting to wear as thin as Steve McDonald's hair. For the soap's sake, Toxic Tracy (left) must pay for her terrible crme, and quickly.

Though, thinking about it, maybe the lap-dancing sequence was meant to be cringe-worthy, to show how desperate she was? The five o'clock shadow on the armpits didn't do her any favours, either.

Tonight's (Sunday) was pretty poor.
Claire is driving me mad - but I think that's deliberate: the thwarted do-gooder twittering on and on. 'I'f only I'd done more! Bleat, bleat.' She had her nosy little beak in their business every single day - why didn't she belt him with a statuette herself if she hated him so much?
So much for 'intensive care'. Tracy just walked in there - she could have switched him off, pulled his tubes out - anything. It seems like the cops don't guard attempted-murder victims with any more success than they can keep hold of a grinning homicidal liar dressed like a hooker.
