Very true, Yasmin. Same with Hollyoaks and Doctors when they get the odd one. If Corrie win, BBC complain. If EE win, ITV complain.
There were many big storylines all over the soaps, Jezziekins. They knew she'd never win so they fixed. Me neither. There are a lot of gays who love Sean purely because he's a gay character. But there are also a lot who are sick to death of him.

Kate Ford is not out of a job, she said she was taking a few months off. I imagine she has a lot of work lines up, especially in theatre.

Patsy LOL I knew you would say it was fixed that KF won. I also you remember you said the cobbles would stand a better chance of winning. ;D I disagree though, I think she won fair and square. With regard to Sean im one who is sick of him.

I think emmerdale deserved to win best soap more than corrie and eastenders. It's kind of a shame corrie won when emmerdale has been better than corrie over the past year. I was just on the emmerdale site and they have put up a video of Eden Taylor-Draper getting her award and it's so sweet.

Oh rubbish. When BBC wins it's ITV who complains. Look at the uproar a few years ago when several Corrie stars walked out! I tend to agree with the BBC and not because EE only got one. KF is now out of a job and suddenly wins Best Actress? If she was ever THAT good she'd have got it before now. Antony Cotton has been put up for Actor since he started and still has never really done anything. We all know with the public vote a lot tend to go for either their fave soap no matter who's nominated or who they fancy. KF and AC lost again there all this time. No awards tell you how many votes were cast so they're able to fix anything. As for the so-called panel, we know Daran Little was on it a number of years. Don't know if he still is. Then there's the critics. The likes of Twatty Baker who works for ITV and suck up. We all know which way her vote goes. How many times have Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Brookside etc been awarded a consolation prize just so they don't go home empty handed? Course it's all a fix. You only had to look at the shortlists to see that. Patsy Twatty Baker works for GMTV not ITV they are seperate companies

yes they do Jez ITV own 75% of GMTV Ant so they are not seperate companies. they have different execs I bet, notice on GMTV ads how they never carry the ITV logo? Surely if ITV owned that much they would put a logo on

Wow I didn`t know 25% was owned by Disney. That must account for the 'goofy' grin Tracey Barlow used to sport ;D

I thought someone had vandalised it at first but I looked back over the older versions and it has been there since the begining
It also accounts for that Mini mouse Richard

All over the net, Anthony's win has been the most controversial... can I be cynical and call it a fix especially given the fact that ITV want him to front a chat show. Join the club, Yasmin. No one who has done eff all gets nominated time and time again and then wins without it being fixed. Patsy

Lol EE only got one haha!! glad Emmerdale won for the house collapse and glad Belle won an award BUT CORRIE ARE THE CHAMPIONS lets go t'Rovers to celebrate EE got 3 actually. Wendy Richards (pauline) got lifetime achievement Lacey Turner (Stacey) got Best dramatic performance and i'm sure the guy that got special achievement was an EE producer of something, they were going on about him creating Kat and Alfie in the image of him and his wife.

LOL! I watched it and the aftershow party - really enjoyed it. Great to see Corrie win so many.
Cant believe EE did so badly especially in the viewer voted categories. When it came to the final 4 for actor Hollyoaks and Corrie got 2 nominations each. Even Hollyoaks is more popular.

I`ve seen 2 episodes of Hollyoaks this week, and I have to say I`ve enjoyed them so far. I don`t know how far behind the episodes are that I`m watching compared to the ones in the UK but it seems pretty good so far.
