Sally Whittaker who plays Sally Webster is visiting India to see the child that she has been sponsoring she will also see the little girl's village and see how her sponsorship money of £20 per month has been used. She will also visit some other villages to decide if she would like to sponsor someone else. Interview on Granada Reports tonight.

I admit to not signing up to one of these schemes and that's due to all the bad press various charitable organisations had in the past (and sometimes present) where the money doesn't actually get to where it's meant to.
