Frequently referred to, mostly as a ready alternative watering hole for characters (cf Fiz/Rosie, Curly/Angie, ad infinitum USW USW), has the Weathie Arms, apparently the only alternative to the Rovers Return, ever appeared on screen? I have a vague recollection that it was the pub where Tracy Barlow slipped Roy Cropper a Mickey Finn before inveigling him into a frankly improbable jape in which he supposedly fathered her child Ameh, but that might have been another non-Rovers pub.
Is it a nicer pub than than the soon-to-be-painted Rovers?

Yes its been seen a few times, I recall that Cilla was a barmaid there for a while.
Other pubs to appear in the show include The Flying Horse, but that never seems to get a mention now.

At least in Emmerdale they remember The Malt Shovel. Corrie writers are too lazy so make up new ones.

Tracey slipped Roy a mickey at Karen and Steves wedding didn't she? I thought it was at Karen's hen night - no idea why Roy was there, though.

Wasn't that the stupid 1p bet with Bev which ended up ruining Roy's character for many years?

The Weathefield Arms was soon becoming the main pub at the time of Charlie's reign, with loads visiting and the Rovers having only a few regulars, its hardly ever seen now
Also Liz MacDonald was landlady there if I remember correctly

Was it at Karen and Steves wedding? Dunno why but I thought it was Peters illegal wedding to Shelley It was at Shelley's hen night that a pair of slimebags tried to drug her - Tracy (uncharacteristically) nobly stepped in, saved Shelley from being attacked and confiscated the drugs. Then she used them the next day at Shelley's wedding to Bigamous Barlow in order to drug Roy and convince the world that she's had him, the evil cow. Wasn't the Weathie where Cilla was working when she first met Les, but she got the sack after giving out free drinks to his mates?
