Well after trying to get into Lost twice I gave up after a few episodes both times. To me its not a patch on other US series such as Prison Break and Desperate Housewives.
However I see a lot of people have written into teletext annoyed about this as those with freeview (or without any digital tv at all) wont be able to watch unless they get the DVD.

I am mad at this, even though I can't understand half the time what is happening...I had not missed an episode. We have Freesat, which doesn't carry Sky One.
I am hoping they will repeat it on Sky Three one day. ( We get that free ;D )

They should do sooty for all those people who dont have Sky One. But you might have a longer wait. Mind you had Channel 4 kept the rights they probabaly wouldnt have shown the 3rd series until next year anyway.

I never managed to see the final series of The West Wing, thanks to Channel 4 shoving it on E4 instead of the main channel. I just hope they don't do that with ER.

This is brilliant for us over here in Ireland though - as RTE always aim to premiere Lost and Desperate Housewives before the UK broadcasters - so Lost Season 3 has been brought forward by 2 months and is starting tonight with a recap of the last series and then the first new episode is being shown tomorrow night!!!

The third series of Lost will be shown exclusively on Sky One and Sky One HD from week commencing Saturday November 18.
Exact transmission details will be confirmed by Sky next week.
The show will launch with a double-bill and include a multi-start option, giving viewers the chance to choose their preferred start time.
It will also be available on demand via Skybybroadband. Sky One will air the first six episodes of season three, before a short break for Christmas.
The remaining episodes will air from February 2007, days after each episode is broadcast in the US.
The new season opens 68 days after the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 were marooned on the mysterious island.
A pre-series re-cap show Lost: A Tale Of Survival will air on Wednesday November 15 at 10.00pm.
From Digital Spy
Having seen the first episode of season 3, I have to say that I thought that it was a bit of a letdown. I was expecting plenty of revelations, but there are none. The only real surprise was who Jack's wife left him for, in the flashbacks. And we got a flashback of the day the plane crashed as well - seen from "the Other's" perspective. Oh, and there is a new blonde "Other" woman - who looks to be a love interest for Jack.
Not near as much as I was hoping for to be revealed. When Jack asked questions about the Others all he got was "that's not relevant." Not relevant for him, but for the audience it is very relevant.
