I loved this show and used to tape it when I was at school. Was really annoyed when ITV stopped showing it and was grateful to Sky for showing them all. One of my abiding memories, apart from the gorgeous Lorenzo Lamas) was when Maggie drowned in the pool after her ring got caught. That was so sad.

Wouldn't mind seeing this again. Didn't the ex wife of the late Ronald Regan play a leading role ?

That's right. Jane Wyman was Angela Channing. Remember the dippy Emma? She always made me laugh. It's the most ignored of the 80s US soaps I think.

Jane Wyman was an oscar winning actress and had won various other awards over a career spanning 60 years. Believe it or not until Reagan entered politics, she was more famous than him. And when she divorced him in 1948 he had been heartbroken as he hadn't wanted a divorce. It would pain Nancy greatly Wyman's children with Reagan turned out to be more supportive and more loyal to their faither. While Nancy's children rebelled.
Michael Reagan had small role in abou 5 episodes of 1986-1987 season.
Falcon Crest is largly ignored in this country as it didn't take off in the southern regions and was quickly moved to an afternoon slot. While regions such as Central, Border, Wales and Scotland showed it in Prime Time for many years.
It seems outside the UK Falcon Crest was far more popular and is fondly remembered.

I didn't know that about Michael Reagan.
Yes. TVS had it at 1.30pm on Fridays I seem to remember. I love this. Better than Knot's Landing. Though the last series was a bit daft.

This was my favourite of the glitzy 1980s era soaps - but it was so difficult to follow because it was tucked away in an afternoon slot in my ITV region after just a few episodes, and many seasons were skipped! I followed one season on Anglia (afternoons), a second and third on Central (Sunday teatimes/a weeknight c. 7pm) and what must have been about the sixth season on Anglia in the afternoons again. Then it seemed to vanish It wasn't till Sky showed it that I got to see the final season. Great that the story was actually wrapped up. Shame that it wasn't given better slots in the 80s!

I totally agree Alf. ITV really messed about with it and nothing's changed! I wish someone would show it again. Dallas is often on UK Gold so why not this?
I was reading a book recently and forgot Lana Turner had been in it.

I read somewhere that their scenes "together " were actually recorded separately, and Jane helped Lana's character into its early grave! Sounds like there was just as much fun behind the scenes as on camera! ;D

Hi Alf!
Yes. It's a pity there's no behind-the-scenes programme about the bitchiness which happened. These things are always more interesting than the scripts! LOL!
