NCIS new series

Ok the new series of NCIS started on the 5th Jan, with a new cast.

I personally at the moment do not like the new recruits. I don't think it needed to change the format, as even though Sasha Alexandra who played Kate wanted to leave, they needn't have changed anything, as when they introduced Sean Murray as McGee, nothing changed, the humour and chemistry was still there.

I don't AT the moment like these two new characters at all, and it does seem like always they are going to bring in romance with the 'history' between Gibbs and the new director. This in my honest opinion is going to kill the success of the programme.

What do you all think about what I have said - do you agree?

As for the first episode, I quite liked it actually, apart from the introductiions of the 'newbies'. I liked - if that is the right word - the way each character saw Kate in their thoughts and what they thought of her. I did laugh when she saw how Tony saw her in the mini skirt and the way she 'jumped'! It did make me jump on the other hand when she 'suddenly' opened her eyes on Ducky's table in the morgue!

I have to agree over the new characters, I haven't warmed to them at all.

I wonder if the actress wanted to leave, or was axed.?
I just hope the new ones grow on me, but at the moment, no.

Yes, it was different, I had heard about Kates' apparation talking to Gibbs, but was unsure of what that was about.

No, I do not like them myself, which put me off the programme abit, and the girl who is taking Kate's place, is she involved with Ari?? I got lost? I do not like the new Director, and i really think they are gooing to play on that, especially if she starts throwing her weight and sex appeal around Gibbs. It is not going to work I don't think, at the moment which is a shame, considering it did not lose any appeal when they brought in McGee.

Thank goodness for DVD's! I will do a thread IF you wish for Seasons 1 and 2 so we can discuss the old way? Why I said that, is I have seen some of the earlier eps that I missed and they are great.

No, apparently, Sasha Alexander who played Kate, wanted to leave. One of the producers I think it was on the show, said he had never known her stay with a show for more than 2 seasons, so maybe she is one of those actresses than cannot stay for too long in a show, and has to try other things. What I do know, is it caused an outcry for all NCIS fans and they bombarded the production offices thinking she had been axed!
