News has it that a couple of new detectives are joining the cast of L&O CI to ease the pressure of main star Vincent D'Onofrio.
Vincent sadly experienced a health scare in the States recently and collapsed on the set of L&O and then again at his home in NY. He was rushed to hospital for more tests to see what the problem was and it was revealed that he was exhausted from the punishing schedule.
L&O bosses then decided rather than lose it's top star, they would bring in a couple of other actors to help with the schedule, hence the addition of Chris Noth who will play Det Logan, a character he played in the other L&O.
One week Vincent and his on screen partner Kathryn Erbes will do the detecting and the following week Chris and his new partner will do the detecting.
More on this story as I find it.

I had heard they were bringing in two new characters to ease his workload after a scare.
I love the way he portrays Goren, he puts me in mind of Columbo with his tenacity in case solving.
Criminal Intent is my favourite of the Law and Orders.

Criminal Intent is my favourite of the Law and Orders. Yes, I have to say that I have taken a lot more interest in this how recently, and I really enjoy it. It is funny as someone said on a site regarding Vincent who plays Robert that he was a 'modern Sherlock Holmes' and I think that hit the nail right on the head. That is exactly what he is. As for his health scare, Vince actually collapsed on the set of CI and then again at his home and then was rushed into hospital for more tests where it was then found he had exhaustion, which is why they then brought it the other two actors to relieve the pressure on Vince. The producers obviously know what a catch they have got in Vince, and do not want to lose him as he has a HUGE fan base which obviously tune in to L&O CI for that reason as well. Another thing about the show is that again, it is pure Detective work - Like Sherlock Holmes AND no romance.

I love the partnership he has with Eames. When she was away with the pregnancy ( Was the actress pregnant, or just a storyline ) there was a new one drafted in for a while. I didn't warm to her at all, I don't think she had the same warmth or rapport with Goren.

I didn't warm to her at all, I don't think she had the same warmth or rapport with Goren. Yes, so do I, it is different to that of Mac and Stella of CSI, but there is still a 'relationship' there with out any hint of romance. I believe the actress was pregnant and having checked her bio it seems she does have a new child, though I did not see the age of the child, so I am not sure on that score!!! That new actress they brought in, I also did not like her either, there was something about her, and I certainly did not trust her at all, I thought she was up to something, and I couldn't help feeling that she was checking up on Robert - and in one scene thought she was keeping tabs on him, especially the way she looked at him. I was not sure if it was one of 'those' looks where she either was up to something (which I was sure she was) or she was 'coming on to him' which she had no chance. I certainly did not trust her one bit. But yes, they have got the right ingredients for the show. Is your email address still the same Sooty?

LOL Yes, I know exactly what you mean - its awkward to say that when you know what the programme is about isn't it? I noticed that at the end of the show. I will start a new thread for this don't worry.
