The last episode of CSI:NY will be shown on Five tonight at 9:35pm. This series really seems to have flown by. It doesn't seem that long ago that it was just starting... I can't wait for the second season to start... I'm assuming they've made/ are making a new one

I do hope that Mac and that woman have something going. I did think maybe he and Stella would, but I think she treats him like a brother. I would nice for him to have a relationship.
There will be a new series in September, and the overall feel will not be as 'grey and gloomy looking '

Good news about there being a new series. I'd read certain things that CSI:NY wasn't as well received in the US as it's predecessors in Las Vegas and Miami. I have to admit, I wasn't taken with the first couple of episodes, but it really grew on me as the series went on.
It looks like Danny might be on his way. It's a shame because he and Aiden strike up a good partnership to work alongside Stella and Mac (definately a brother/sister, close friends only relationship!). I'm not sure if Dr Hawkes in the field will work though... did I hear that bit right?
I hope they don't change the look of the show too much. I think the grey and gloomy look actually looked quite slick and realistic. It's part of the character of the show for me... it's like Miami having lots of sunshine scenes... it refelcts the area it's shot in (or supposed to be shot in).

I think ( from what I've read ) that a lot of people were put off watching because of the depressing greys ( and lack of windows! ) I hope they don't alter it too much. I know what you mean about Danny, but I do hope he isn't going.I also think Hawkes should remain in the lab. I do like your banner Britchick, its great.

Yes I also love the banner too!
I have not yet seen the last ep as I was away but I did notice from certain publicity things on the web that this lady was in the last ep and there was a hint of romance. I really hope not - I did see the last bit of NY as I rewound my tape and saw them on their date.
Sorry, but I think that would spoil the show to have a bit of romance going as well, stick to the format I say, just do the Forensics.
I also thought that maybe Aiden would try for Mac at first as she had her eye on him ( Maybe for career prospects??) but I did notice that the relationship between Mac and Stella was like a 'Brother -sister' sort. I also thought there was a flicker between him and Jane the DNA lady. I think they are probably testing the water.
Typical, as much as I am pleased there will be another series, I could be away in Sept so the Vid will have to be set again!
As for the other two, I think they thought that also Vegas was getting stale, again they were going to get a relationship between Sarah and Grissom going, but I think they have dismissed that idea (As they were going to in Miami with H and Yelina) I relayy thik they ought to stick with the format of Forensics.
I do like the way they have put a little life back into Vegas by splitting the team up, but it does make me wonder whether it will cause a little friction by bringing in these new and existing characters.

Glad you both like the banner ;D
I think you're spot on Sharon with regards to bringing any romance into the show. I'm sure I've said before, but if they start delving too much into the private lives/ introducing romance into storylines, it will move from drama to soap.
The core interest of CSI for me is the solving of the crime. It makes the whole CSI series stand out because it doesn't rely on sex, love triangles and silly spats... it just goes to show you can have character development and an interesting story without the other stuff (a point some soaps could do with taking on board!).

Here here and thanks for that. I agree totally, though I think they could tell us about the charccters background without delving into romance. the show is about Forensics and that's what makes it so different to other shows and makes it so popular. Your right, if they follow that route, with the romance then it will go into 'soaps' mode. I say stick with the Forensics only.

Here here and thanks for that. I agree totally, though I think they could tell us about the charccters background without delving into romance. I think that's one of the things they do very well. All the characters have their problems and issues, which we learn about, but it never detracts from the case in question. I think they strike the balance between exploring the characters so that the audience empathises with them, but not going too far into the personal lives that the case becomes secondary. They all have problems - Horatio and his dead brother, Delko and his family coming from Cuba, Calleigh and her alcoholic father, Sara and her alcohol problem, Mac and his wife dying, Stella and her background, and loads more - which inform the character and shape the way they do things, but it's never the central story. To me, they only bring these things up if it has a relevance to the case they're working on. By and large, I'd say relationships have little impact on the cases they're working on, so shouldn't be brought into the storylines unless they're relevant.

Lie you say they tell us about their private lives but not to put in the forefront and usually they only tell us when it coincides with a case. You earned a Exalt for that!
